Only 20 days to go... How does one go about getting this dessert? We are celebrating my daughters' birthdays during our trip - even eating at 1900 Park Fair. I've seen this dessert in pictures, but don't know how to get it... any help?:hourglass

I want to get one, too, when we go in December and we're going to be eating at Victoria and Albert's. I think there is a dessert FAQ on here somewhere, but I don't know the link. I did copy it out, though, and saved it because I want to order the slipper, and here's what I have that related to your post:

New "Cake Hotline" for Guests requesting celebratory cakes at most Table Service dining locations. The Cake Hotline number is 407-827-2253 and requires 48 hours notice.

Number for 1900 Park Fare: 407-824-2978

Glass Slipper dessert available at GF restuarants and CRT not included in DDP MUST BE PREORDERED at least 48hrs

$14 Glass Slipper Dessert ($12.50 at CRT)

The price may have changed since this was posted, but you can call the Cake Hotline or Park Faire number and see what they say it is currently. It does look like a great dessert and I want one myself! Can't wait! LOL!

Not sure if you can get special desserts that are not cakes on the cake hotline. You could try that first.

I've ordered it for 1900 Park Fare but it was before the cake hotline was started. I called the GF directly. They put me through to a manager, who was from 1900 Park Fare.

Here's some numbers for you just in case the cake hotline cannot help you.

1900 Park Faire: (407) 824–2978

GF main number: (407) 824-3000

GF Private (in room) dining: (407) 824-2578

GF bakery: (407) 824-2578

We have 2 slippers waiting for us for our ADR at Narcoossees on 12/8/07. I had to call the GF private dining line to make the reservation. The cost was verified to be $14.00 per slipper.

This one is from GF ($14.00):

We want to get the slipper when we eat at the GF Cafe on 12/6. I, being SUPER excited to go to Disney, called like last month or even the month before (*snort*) to order it for us, and the woman from the GF bakery laughed about it! LOL! She goes, "Ma'am, we only need about 72 hour advance notice. You can call back when it's closer to the time"

hahahahahahaha ooops. I am overzealous, I guess!

Can you pick the kind of chocolate slipper you get or does each restaurant have a certain kind of chocolate slipper and mousse.
Thanks!!!:)

No, there is no choice that I know of. You get what is shown in the two photos in post #7.

They might subsitute vanilla mousse for choc if you ask but I'm not sure.

Well, the pictures in post #7 show a vanilla (or maybe white chocolate?) mousse OR a chocolate mousse. That indicates a choice to me. I personally hope to get the white mousse with the raspberries.

Or do you mean to say that you get what you get, and whichever they feel like giving you is what you're stuck with?

I'm not positive, as I've not personally ordered them, but the two images in post #7 are from two different places (GF and CRT), and I'm pretty sure each of those restaurants always serves the same type of dessert, but the dessert differs between the two... and so I guess you have the choice of where you'd order the slipper from in order to pick which one you want? (As far as I know, those are the only two locations that serve the slipper dessert, too... unless that has recently changed)

So which restaurant serves which dessert? I hope that the GF has the white. That's where we're going to be.

Ok, sorry.. nevermind. I'm a moron! LOL

I just saw the captions of the pics. WOO HOO GF has the white!

The GF version has Chantilly Cream in the slipper and chocolate mousse in the 'boat'. On top of the Chantilly Cream are fresh Raspberries.

The CRT version has a piece of cake on the bottom, then the slipper with chocolate mousse in it and fruit.

I haven't done the CRT version, but the GF version is yummy!
