We have been to WDW many times and untill now my DD has not had the desire to eat a CRT. I believe its too late to get resies for breakfast. I was wondering how the lunches or dinners are? Please share your thoughts...
:boat:

dinner is the easiest of the 3 to get, but it's not a princess meal as breakfast and lunch are.

with a heavy 24 hour cancellation policy, if this is something you can afford to toss in last moment, you should keep trying. spots do open up.

Lunch is excellent, we loved it when we did it and have booked for lunch again. The menu looks much better than the breakfast I think.

What do you mean it's not a princess meal?

dinner does not feature princesses in the dining room. it's the Fairy Godmother, Suzy and Perla. FGM does not circulate and Suzy and Perla don't sign.

Cindy should still be downstairs for the photo.

For dinner you have photos taken with Cinderella in the lobby, but it's hosted upstairs by the Fairy Godmother and the mice, they do a sort of show and sing a long, don't really circulate like the princesses do at lunch.

I can only speak for lunch. We went last Sept after my girls begged me to go since we had been to Disney 4x already - and they had never eaten at the castle (I assumed that since they weren't "into" princesses they wouldn't want to go).

The food - which was chosen from a limited menu - was okay. Princess interaction was great, though. Each one came to our table, Jasmine, Snow White, Belle and the Fairy Godmother. Cinderella was downstairs near where you check in.

There are no princesses in the dining room at dinner (my friend just returned from there - and verified this).

So if you MUST go - I wouldn't spend to much time worrying about getting a breakfast reservation. For us - going at lunchtime served the purpose.

Thanks everyone. I just looked up the prices @ Allearsnet, and it looks like we could go to "Ohana or Kona twice for the price of a date with Cindy. pirate:

is it a castle thing? or a Cinderella thing? Cinderella hosts a dinner at 1900 Park Fare. again, not so much a princess meal as a Cinderella oriented meal.

for a princess meal, try princess storybook in norway.

for the castle, there's no alternative.

This was our very first meal ever at Disney World, and I have to say, we were quite disappointed and have not had the desire to go back. I know most people rave about CRT, but I just didn't think the food was all that great for the price. The service was pretty good though. Maybe if you have the DDP that might be a different case. Just my opinion.

We went to the Castle for lunch last month. It was okay. We will probably not be back. I think that if you have never been, it would be a neat experience to do once. It is overpriced for the food that you get, but no one really goes just for the food. I thought the character interaction was just ok. We had better character interaction at other places. I think that you should go at least once. I am glad that we went but will probably go somewhere else to get our princess fix on our next trip.:)

If you do get CRT I'd pay OOP for it and save the DDP credits. I did that last year. It seemed more economical to pay for that meal for myself and DD7 instead of using 4 DDP credits. If u can't get in there, try Norway's Disney Storybook Dining...sometimes Cindy is there. She is always at 1900 Park Fare for dinner at the GF. Both of those are only 1 DDP credit.
