Cindy's New Dinner

Thanks so much for this. I ended up booking it this morning. The photo package offering is great. I had a lady on the phone confirm that the package was included and that the photo is with Cinderella before dinner, sounds great to me! Also, the course offerings sounded good. she mentioned salad , spring rolls, etc. for appetizers served family style, then main courses of prime rib, salmon, chicken, and lamb then desert of blueberry icecream or chocolate cake. We are on the dining plan and using 2 credits each for this.

I think we just lost out on dinner at the castle. :sad1: I would be the only one eatting those appetizers and the dessert. It wouldn't be worth the 2 credits. Maybe i'll look into breakfast or lunch. (i forget what was on the menu for them. )

I have a question, and I apologise if this has been covered before:

DH and I will be meeting some friends while we're in WDW. If a few of us decide to do dinner at the castle together, will they give us *each* the photo package? Obviously DH and I will not need or want separate photos, but what about the other party(ies) that may be dining with us?

I realize that this meal has not yet officially started, but I'm wondering if anyone has asked CRO about this yet and gotten an answer. Thanks! :)

All I could find out is that families of 5 to 8 will receive 2 photo packages. I'm sure another party of 2 would receive their own set of photos, BUT as with anything it would be good to ask beforehand so there will be no disappointments later. Good Luck!

I sure hope someone can write a good review on the dinner offerings. Yuck ... for me -- I was looking forward to a good filet for 2TS and now I find I will most likely eat chicken???? I hate lamb and prime rib and salmon is not what I would pick for two TS. Hopefully the pictures will be good and I will not be tempted to overeat with these offerings!!!

I can't wait to hear some dinner reviews. My dd wants to eat dinner in the castle for her birthday, but I'm not sure any of my kids (2 of whom are "adults" according to Disney) would eat those entrees. It's so expensive now, too.

We had dinner there two years ago, and it was one of our favorite meals. It was expensive for the quality of the food, but we still really enjoyed it. Now with the price increase and the more limited menu, I just can't decide.

Does anyone know if there is a time limit on how long they are including the photo and lithograph in the package? We are going in August, and it would be nice to have a good picture of the two of us in front of the castle.

Also, is Cinderella in the photo?....I love Cinderella, but since it is just the two of us I would prefer for it to be just us.

I know the new program hasn't even started yet, but any info would be appreciated since I can make ressies in about 2 weeks.

My guess is, if this new dining is successful, it will continue... :confused3

As far as the picture, I was told it would be with Cinderella by her throne, inside.

I too am looking to see the reviews next week! :Pinkbounc

Booked this today as a surprise last-night dinner to celebrate my DD's 12th birthday - you do have to pay when you book, but they do honor the DDE discount. Will post reviews when we get back (mid-March)! princess:

P.S. The photo package is included in the price. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if this dinner will be all you can eat like the breakfast? Will they bring out more prime rib, salmon, etc. if requested? Or is it simply a plated meal at a fixed price? TIA!! :)

It'll be good then too. DH and I are doing this for our 10th anniversary in Sept. It sounds like it's going to be really nice. We were thinking about using the 2 credits but we may just go ahead and pay out of pocket since it's price fixed. Then save the credits for 2 other meals.

Is this 2 TS credits?

Yes! I'm one of those that won't be doing this. It just really doesn't appeal to me, but I agree that it may be a must do for those who have never eaten in teh castle or have a little one that wants to.

We're all waiting to hear how dinner is at Cindy's!

Please do share! Hope it's GREAT!

Just bumping this thread up to see if anyone has any reports on the new format for dinner dining at the Castle!

Hope the link comes thru:

It explains what photos you get with the package and the meal provided. Sounds ok but not sure if worth 2TS or $40 a person??? I wanted this dinner my first time at WDW and will review it with that in mind after I return.

SnwflkCts!

Thanks for the link! It came through. There are a few more threads on the board for this too! It does sound expensive, but it will be a special night for us when we give this a try in March! :woohoo:

Does anyone know if the stated prices include tax? How much is the tax rate? I'm still on the fence about this meal. I'm figuring that with tax and tip, this meal will cost the 5 of us around $240. But it would be for dd's 13th birthday, so it might be worth it.
