Was wondering if anyone knew what the new dinner pre-fixed meals were going to be at Cindy's?

Beginning February 1, 2006, dining at Cinderella's Royal Table will undergo several changes:

Dinner will become a fixed-price, set meal hosted by the Fairy Godmother, who will lead the observance of special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries.

You will also have the chance to have your photo taken before dining, with a photo package offered to you during the meal.

In addition, you will receive a special, unframed, unmatted lithograph (worth $50), given exclusively to diners at Cinderella's Royal Table Dinner.

Dinner: $39.99 ages 10 and up;
$24.99 ages 3-9.

Will the menu remain the same?

Would love opinions on whether people think this dinner is worth two TS credits on the Dining plan??

the dinner will be a tray of appetizers served family style, a choice of entrees: seafood dish, chicken, prime rib or pasta dish and for dessert an individual dessert which the cms are not saying what it is! Now for the lunch: again a tray of appetizers served family style, choice of entrees: salmon, pasta, major domo's pie, or herb crusted pork and for dessert blueberry buckle with ice cream. for each meal you have the option of ordering the chocalate slipper for dessert ahead of time! :sunny: hope this helps ya!

Dinner

Is this photo package free?

Yay! I knew the basic menu items, but this thread has much more details information than I have heard so far. Sounds better than I thought.

What?!? They WILL still have filet mignon on the dinner menu?!?!?!? Not that I doubt you at all, but I had heard there will no long be filet mignon available. Where did you find this info??? If it is true, then YAY WE WILL STILL HAVE DINNER IN THE CASTLE!!! ::yes:: :teeth: :flower: Dinner in the castle is our traditional "First Night at Disney World" restaurant! :sunny:

Interesting. Maybe we'll go back.

Don't flame me but we used to make this our first night tradition and then had back to back bad meals. Maybe this will cut down on the claustraphobia I feel when waiting downstairs.

I'd be interested to find out more details. :flower:

this is just dinner at the castle right, not a special character thing. We've eaten dinner at the "castle" and it was only 1 dinner voucher pp. And usually Cindy would be downstairs at some point for picts and autographs. Are you saying this is all different now?

Yes... as of February 1st this year, the dinner at the Castle has changed. I'm not familiar with the dining package and the # of dinner vouchers you would use for this, but as stated earlier in the thread, the Fairy God Mother will greet you and take you into Cinderella for your own picture. As I understand it, there will be no characters during dining coming to individual tables. They may make an appearance.

I was thinking about doing dinner in the castle since it wasn't a character meal, then I read about the changes. Is it really worth the 2 TS credits? We've never eaten in the castle so I thought it might be interesting. What do you think?

when i had called wdw dine 1.5 weeks ago, the cm said no more filet mignon...just prime rib. i really think the cm's need to have the actual facts..seems like we all get a different story when calling wdw dine :sad1:

I had heard no filet too...this was DH's favorite thing. I wonder which is the most accurate?

I didn't see a response for this. . .is the photo package free???

According to the 2006 brochure for the dining plan, it includes the photo package. 2 CMs I spoke with also said it was included.
