Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

I got it! I got the Sep 29 Lunch for 3. I have been calling for CRT for 2 weeks now and I was told the booking was full for my entire stay since I made my ressis for free dining promotion. DD2 is now watching Cinderella DVD on the once a day basis. I have to get the CRT in our itnerary.

I have a little stomach flu since Friday and was lying on the bed. But I thought I can just call Disney dining to try my luck. I didn't expect to get any ADR at all since I was told by CM most of people who booked during free dining month are rarely have cancellations. I though I just call everyday and made me feel better even I know I might not ever get any ADR. I called at 11:00 am EST and the nice CM checked all the breakfast for my stay. No luck. And then I asked her to check lunch. Then she started go through the date ....No, No,....wait... I got something in Sep-30 for 3!!!!!! I was so happy!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :cheer2:

So please just keep calling and you will be rewarded with the ADR. :dance3:

I just called today to make my ressies for CRT and no luck. No surprise because the date I wanted is 180+1 (December 9th). They told me to call back tomorrow when they open up the rest of the tables. I really hope I can get a table!

They definitely hold CRT tables back from the 180 + 10 timetable. I called on Monday at my 180 mark and tried to make a CRT ADR for two 2 days into my vacation - CM told me the entire breakfast was booked, but "call back in 2 days at 180 for that day because they hold back seating to be fair to those not able to book the +10 option." Sure enough, called this AM and got seating for 2 at 8:15 - Taking DGrD (3) all by myself for 5 days of Christmas and Princess fun - how lucky can a Grandmother get?!!!! They didn't have Princess meals when my girls were little - not that I could have afforded it then, anyway !

This gives me hope!

I tried on a whim after hearing others got their reservations early. I called yesterday which is 1 day before I was allowed to call. I arrive 12/8. I got everything including CRT for 9:35 on 12/13. I called at around 3:30 yesterday afternoon after reading the boards here and tried. I got them all except for Rainforest Cafe in AK. That one I have to wait for tomorrow. I am going to keep calling to see if I can get an earlier breakfast, but just keep trying even at odd times. It just might work

I'm happy to report that after only managing to get an ADR for 2 people at the 180+10 for CRT lunch on Dec 8, I was able to get the ADR for all 4 of us by calling on the true 180 day mark! Thanks for the advice, my fellow DISers!! As a little way of giving back, I have yet to cancel our table for 2 at 1:10pm on Friday, Dec 8. If anyone is interested in this ADR, please PM me.

So I booked a CRT breakfast for my SIL, DW, DD and niece with my credit card but put the AR under my SIL's name which is not the same as mine. Are the names not matching up going to be a problem at check-in? The CM said it was ok, but I'm starting to wonder.

Regards,
Humphrey53209

I called today for Dec. 11 and they said that you have to show an ID at check-in and it hasto match the name on the reservation.

Raysplus1- we'll be there Dec. 11 at 8:05- what time did you get?
Humphrey- I would think as long as the ADR is in her name, it doesn't matter whose name is on the credit card it was paid for with. I think as long as her name is on it, she will be fine. It is the same as if someone were paying for her meal as a gift- as long as the reservation is in her name I wouldn't worry. Besides, I've been to CRT 2 times and never been asked for any kind of ID. I even checked in with the ADR in my husband's name- clearly I was not him and they never even questioned it- where he was, if I was his wife, etc. Just go on in.

Hi,
There are too many pages in this thread to search! I know that tax and tip is included but does anyone know the tax rate and tip percentage that is used? Thanks!!!

I guess I'm new to all this. We're going to WDW July 22-27, our first family trip there. I called around mid-late April late one night & booked breakfast for 8:40 am with no problem at all. we'll be celebrating my daughter's 1st birthday there. Is it really that hard getting a reservation? I had no idea.

Are you doing the DDP (Disney Dining Plan)?

If you are, the tax rate is 6.5% and the tip is between 15% and 18%. If you'd like to tip additionally for good service, that's up to you.

If you're paying for it OOP (Out of Pocket), the tip and tax is not included. Tax would be at the same rate- and the tip is up to you.

I hope that this helps...

Actually, if you pay OOP, you must pay IN FULL when you call and they do include tax/tip. This started this past February. Everyone must pay in full unless they are on the dining plan, then they just need to provide a CC as a hold for a no-show, no-cancel fee.

This is what we did. We're not on the dining plan. We called in and they charge your credit card ahead of time for the full amount. And they also add tax and tip. I was just trying to figure out how much exactly they're throwing in for the tip. I guess I can give them a call.
Thanks!

I know this has been answered already but I would get lost looking for it.

Our ADR is for 8:10. I know the park won't be open so how do we get in?

There is a special entry gate at the MK for early admission. DW and I used that when we ate at CRT. Great time for photos too, if you have the time to spare....

FirstTimeCruiser am I the only one who thinks being charged in advance for your tip is simply outrageous? What if your service is terrible? I can understand being charged in advance for the meal, but the tip? They should cut off Mickey's tail for that! And then beat him with it! It's naked greed imho.

We had 9:50 a.m. reservation. We checked in at 9:40 and were not seated until we complained at 10:20. Numerous others were seated in front of us that had much later reservations. We had a party of 5 and similar and larger groups were seated first. When I complained, they said we would get in when it was our turn, but a half hour later that the 9:50 with later reservations going ahead of us was hard for me to understand. However, we were seated almost immediately after I complained. It was as if they misplaced the ticket. Character interaction was short and getting a refill of orange juice was virtually impossible.

On the other hand, had great service and character interaction at Chef Mickey's and LTT while it was fine at Crystal Palace. I would eat at the other three first. CRT gets a big thumbs down from me this time.

I, too, called at the end of April for an Aug. 3rd breakfast ADR at CRT and had no trouble getting a table for 8:20 a.m. I think people cancel and remake ADRs all the time, so chances of getting a table aren't as bad as some would make it out to be. I got all my preferred times for all my ADRs, in fact - many made mid-May - including Le Cellier. I think, though, that for the upcoming free dining period things may not be quite so simple!
