Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

DonaldDuckFan,

We're a party of 7 (split between 2 tables but I don't care!!!). We'll be with the cute, little girl with curly flaming red hair land her sullen looking 8 year old brother (who doesn't understand why he has to go to a Princess breakfast!)

I'll be looking for you there! I LOVE little girls with red hair, so much so that I keep telling DH that we need to have a little girl and hope she gets the red head genes from his side of the family! :rotfl: We're a party of 6, it will be me, DH, my parents and our sons ages 3 years and 13 months. We ate there on our honeymoon and DH LOVED the food. I was thinking maybe we wouldn't go back this time since I'm not too sure how interested my son will be in the princesses, but DH insisted!! I know I'll love it though!

See you there! Amy

It does sound like the castle will be filled with DISers on the 4th! We are a party of 4 -see you all there! We're surprising the kids with this - DS8 wouldn't be excited about a "princess breakfast", but castles are cool! :cool1:

WELL ADD US TO THAT LIST!!!! Party of 2!!!!

I followed all that info and tips someone kindly posted and I was put on hold. After about 7 minutes (or maybe 4 min I was so groggy I can't remember!) I blurted out all my info and was rewarded with an 8:05 for Dec. 4th!!! I was so excited that when I tried to get back to sleep (4:07 a.m. West Coast time) I couldn't! Just happy to get it!!!
This board rules!! Props to all the kool people on this board!!! :jumping1:

I cannot stress the importance of following the directions for calling. I finally got threw this am for Dec 6 9:05am. I was only on hold for 30 seconds. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

DimK--

Would you please let me know where I can find the directions for calling for CRT reservations? The first post in this thread has a link named "tips" but I keep getting a blank page.

My husband and I were up at 4:50A trying to get through for 12/06 but by the time someone came on the line--everything was booked for Bfast & lunch. We were using the "tips" from the Unofficial Guide but that seems a little outdated after listening to the telephone prompts.

Thank you for any help that you can provide!

Congratulations on obtaining the day that you wanted.

Below is a great list of tips some wonderful DISer put together. The best advice is to start calling at 6:58a and keep redialing till the message changes (that they are open) Once you hear "if you are calling for Victoria Alberts", you immediately hit 1 and 1 again and hopefully you will get a CM quickly enough. By hitting 1 and 1 you skip the part where they ask for your phone number and/or reservation number. Good luck!

1) Determine the date that you can make your Cindy's reservation. Go to the DIS Priority Seating calculator and verify the earliest calling date for the dates that you can attend (90 days prior). Realize that there is a VERY good chance that you will be unsuccessful if you only try once. So plan on getting a PS for early in your trip and if you get it, GREAT. If you don't, you can still try the next morning.

2) Have your credit card ready. Disney now requires a credit card guarantee of $10 per adult and $5 per child. The deposit is refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours prior to your reservation.

3) You should only make reservations using the (407) 939-3463 number. The (800) numbers used for Annual Passholders and other services sometimes have delays (as much as 12 seconds) that will seriously hinder your ability to get a Cindy's PS.

4) Syncronize your clock. Go to the official U.S. time clock for great results. I have DSL at home, so I leave the official U.S. clock up on my screen while calling.

5) Get up and 'at 'em! Begin calling at about 6:58am Eastern time. Plan on calling 10-15 times during this two minute period. The range seems to be picking up between 6:58:30am and 6:59:30am. Some people have successfully tried and used multiple phones to get through.

Please note that there are two possible greetings:
a) Thank you for calling Walt Disney World. Our office is closed... (hang up immediately as soon as you hear the words "Our office" and hit redial immediately).
or
b) Thank you for calling Disney dining. At this time, we are experiencing very high call volume. If you have already arrived for your Magical Walt Disney World Vacation, you may visit any resort or theme park Guest Services location, or the podium at any Walt Disney World restaurant to make your dining Priority Seating arrangements. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Once you hear option b, you're in and on hold! Do NOT hang up or you may lose any chance of a ressie! Please note that you cannot select any options while this message is being read. You must wait until the word "understanding" is completed.

After this passage is read (i.e. immediately after the word "understanding" is read), immediately hit the number "1" key twice on your phone.

Here are the options that you are skipping:
If you are calling to make a Priority Seating for Victoria and Alberts at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, please press 2. If not, press 1.

If you are calling from the Orlando area, or to make a reservation for within the next seven days, please press 1. If you are calling to make a reservation for your upcoming trip, press 2.

I don't recommend that you select #2 in the second option because if you select it, you will then be asked to give additional information (i.e. how long it has been since you last visited WDW, how many times you have been to WDW in the past four years, your telephone and/or reservation #). You don't have time for these options, so select #1 as directed above to skip them. After hitting the number "1" key twice on your phone pad as described above, the following line will be read:

Thank you for your time and patience. All of our representatives are currently assisting other guests. We look forward to speaking with you momentarily.

Again, do NOT hang up. Wait for the next available CM. You are almost there! Cross your fingers AND toes!

6) Upon speaking to a "live person", interrupt the CM and blurt out "I need Cindy's, for **insert date**, for x people, any available time". The CRO rep will understand your temporary rudeness, and you'll make up for it later with endless amounts of gratitude... Don't try and pick a specific time. Any delays will seriously hinder your ability to get a PS.

7) Be sure to write down your time and PS #. If your PS is before the park opening, you'll have to present your PS# to get into the park.

See post #2474 on pg 165. They work great.
I have 2 ADR that I am going to cancel, both were reservations for 8 people:
CRT Dec 3 2:25pm
CRT Dec 5 1:35pm
If anyone is interested, please PM me and we can try to coordinate the cancel with you reservation. :cool1:

I also tried to call this morning for breakfast and was unable to make reservations. It is my son's birthday during our trip and I wanted to do something special. He was interested in Cindy's Breakfast. I am looking for any reservation from December 5,- December 10th. Please PM me if you have any ideas.

With a little "push" from a couple posters, I've finally gotten around to creating a post that I thought would be helpful for a while now. This board does get crowded with threads about Cinderella's and I know other threads can get overlooked, so hopefully this will help! :)

Need advice on how to get a breakfast PS? Want some encouragement? Have questions? Need to vent? This thread is the place to do just that!

As a place to start, why not read gthorson's excellent tips on how to best to get a PS from CRO.

Please note: Trading of PS's is not permitted on the Restaurant Board and will be deleted

gthorson's tips link is broken, and DH wants to breakfast in the Castle again.

Could the information be relinked so that us neophites can read them?

TIA...

Thank you! Thank you! I got thru this morning and I wasn't even put on hold!! December 7, Crt, 9:15, party of 5. I am so excited!!!! Thanks for all of the wonderful tips!!!!! Deb princess:

For the 5th day in a row I was not able to get breakfast w/ Cindy but have a lunch at 2:45 on Dec 7th. But - wonderful Tim Larison w/ mouse ear vacations got me a 9:15am on Dec. 7th. YEH!!! It was the highlight of our last trip and my DS loves the knights and armour. DD loves all the princesses. I am so happy. I had given up!

If anyone is interested in the lunch PM me because I am going to cancel.

Anybody here know if CRT is decorated for Christmas? We're having dinner there before MVMCP on December 1 & was hoping... I've asked on other threads, but no one has answered. Thought maybe the experts here might know. Thanks!!!

Very cool! My TA was also able to get us a spot for CRT (our first breakfast inside the castle!!!). It took so much stress of me, it was worth going through a TA!

Hi Mickey's Sister, I am excited about going to CRT on DEC 1 @1:30, so I did a search on photos of the CRT. I did see a large Christmas tree, right beside the huge chair/throne in the lobby. The photo I saw was beautiful, a family was gathered around the throne along with the Fairy Godmother, with the Christmas tree in the background. I am going to keep investigating, because Disney Dining did not know the answer. I'll keep you posted...

I've eaten breakfast there in December and I do not recall any decorations besides the tree in the lobby.

I do remember one year the princesses had holly in their hair.

Crystal Palace had nice decorations.

I've heard that at LTT the characters dress festive for Christmas but I've only eaten there for Halloween.

Hi gymnasticscoach,TX!

Well I guess a tree in the lobby would be better than nothing. The characters won't be there for us since we'll be there for dinner. But the tree still sounds like a Great spot for a photo. My son originally wanted LTT but I couldn't get anything at the time we wanted to eat. All available ADR's were either too early (4ish) or close to 7 which would interefere with MVMCP. I was going to keep trying for LTT but we talked it over & decided to stick with CRT since we've never eaten there for dinner. Decorations would have been the 'icing on the cake'.

Are you doing MVMCP on the 1st as well? If so, maybe we'll bump into each other.

Yes, please keep me posted if you hear anything else and I'll do the same.

Thanks beattyfamily!

As I said above, decorations would have been the 'icing on the cake'. We're doing a breakfast at Crystal Palace - also a first - we've had dinner there 4 times but decided to try something different. So we'll get to see their decorations. I've heard about the holiday attired characters at LTT plus my son LOVES their food so that was our first choice for dinner. I still keep thinking that maybe I should just try again for LTT :confused3 . I'm really torn since this is our first holiday trip, I want everything to be holiday oriented. I know we'll have a Great time regardless, so I shouldn't be stressing  .

Thanks again!
