This is called a "discussion" board for a reason.
Have you every felt passionately about an issue, so passionate that you are willing to give over your whole life to it? No. She has alienated her family and ruined her marriage. Her ex-husband and children have lost someone they love too, and perhaps they didn't want their grief turned into a circus or a media event...but no one thinnks of that...it's just the "grief-stricken" mother.
If you guys had been around during the Civil Rights movement, you'd have probably thought they were "abnormal" too. They marched on Washington. They stood up against the government. They stood up against the majority of apathetic Americans who were happy to maintain the status quo and feel secure in their happy little suburban homes. They even maybe got on TV. Maybe they even liked the attention their cause got because maybe they thought they could open some eyes and some minds. And they changed the country, hopefully we all agree for the better. Maybe, just maybe, that's what Cindy Sheehan is after. Well, if she is looking to change some minds, I can tell oyu that she is going about it in the wrong way. At a certain point, the "grief-stricken mother" thing is going to wear thin and she will just be another nut. Her 15 minutes are almost up.
Here's some advice: If you don't like her, turn off your TV.I could give you the same advice about reading posts about her on the discussion board. If you don;'t think you'll like the discussion, don't open thepost.
ps: I surely hope all of you psychiatrists who have diagnosed her pathological mental illness believed the Terri Schiavo's parents suffered from the same affliction.
