Cinderell's Royal Table - New Dinner Pkg?

According to the cm I spoke to, the lunch is new menu, A tray of assorted appetizers for the whole table to share, A choice of entrees, salmon, pork, pasta dish or beef pie and for dessert blueberry cobbler for all to share at table. Now for dinner menu the cm told me again a shared appetizer, several entree choices that she didn't know what were and a individual dessert that is being kept hush-hush. I guess we will find out on feb 1 from fellow disers for more info! Now if the individual dessert turns out to be the slipper  I may just have to change my ressie from lunch to dinner! :rotfl: I just can't make up my mind! Anyone else? Lunch or dinner? I just might change to dinner............

I just called dining today to get the feel for things--and did not really know anything except all meals would now be pre-paid 100% upfront with 48 hour cancellation.

If you're on the dining plan, they will only put a ten dollar hold per person, this is not even charged to your cc-it is just a hold to secure your ressie. Now, if you are a no show, they will charge your cc for the full price of the meal. If your not on the dining plan, they need full payment upfront. Hope this helps! :cool1:

I HATE IT WHEN DISNEY MAKES BIG EXPENSIVE CHANGES LIKE THIS!!!!

We were soooo happy with the "old" lunch, pre-characters. Then I was willing to try the first "new" lunch because my mom wanted to try it. Now I'm not paying $33 for a picture with Cinderella and characters who may or may not be there or just be in the dining room, but not for pictures????!!!! C'mon.

Is there a kids price for this character meal or is it $33 per person child or adult? Oh, and are Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner all $33. Someone point me to the link where I can find the menu and the prices. The places I chekced don't have the new menus or prices.

We were happy with the "old" way too. Lunch + dinner were wonderful. You could order just what you wanted. (I used to make a meal out of several appetizers! yum!) The menu had a great selection, and you weren't interrupted with a constant flow of characters. Still, we will give this a try. We so enjoy dining in the castle. Yes, Disney continues to make expensive changes, and it is frustrating. But, we keep coming back because we love vacationing at WDW. I do wish they would bring back the old menus... at the Castle, and at Tony's too. I think Disney is moving towards the fixed prices + fixed menu... easier and more $$$ for them.

We'll be eager to find out how everyone makes out with the new dinner. Please share! Thanks! We'll be there in March.

Darn, I based making my reservations on Feb 13 by looking at the old menu options. New options don't sound that good. Well ... maybe I will save some calories by NOT eating much and saving up for Fulton's on Valentine's day! Hope you all that go early in Feb post some reviews -- thanks for any updates!

I'm learning the new Suzy/Perla role for a wishing presentation with Fairy Godmother at CRT dinner tomorrow night.

:confused3 what's a wishing presentation?? I have never eaten here, on our next trip we'll be celebrating our 20th anniversary and wanted to go here now not sure if I can talk dh into it...... :surfweb: :confused3

I hope to hear some good dinner reviews. Dd wants to go for her 13th birthday, but I'm not sure if any of the kids (two of whom are dining "adults") will like anything. Does anyone know yet what the chicken and pasta dishes are? Will they have a children's menu? (Though paying $40 for chicken strips would kill dh).

Add us to the list of disappointed families. We always ate dinner at CRT on our first night at the MK. It was always an easy ADR to get, as it wasn't a character meal. Even though we knew not to expect it, Cinderella was always downstairs in the lobby as an added bonus.

Now they are forcing you to buy over priced pictures that we used to take ourselves for free, scaling down the menu, and jacking up the price to top it all off. I'm glad we were able to enjoy our last meal at CRT a few weeks ago, as sadly it will now be off of our list :(

Enjoyed dinner @ castle, prime rib was pretty good but atmosphere heavenly...Cindy was also available for pics!

Dining still can't confirm the dinner menu - too bad! No way will I pay that amount for Major Domo pie ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww; although I'm told it has it's fans.

Yes, dining should be able to confirm the menu. I called on Monday and reserved dinner only after she told me the full menu! Call back and talk to another CM. :thumbsup2

I broke down a few nights ago and made an ADR for Cindy's for dinner for March. I never even asked the price - didn't want to know..... I did actually have a difficult time getting in with a family of 5. We will be there for 9 nights and I didn't care which meal, which day, either.

I know it will be expensive, but the CM read a little description and it sounded cute. She didn't know much about it. Seems kind of secretive. We have done the bfast/lunch in the past, and I didn't think my girls cared too much about doing it again but my littlest REALLY wants to eat in the castle again.

I am sure it will be very nice. We did the Princess Tea Party and it was expensive, but we all really really enjoyed it and left thinking Disney does everything well. :wizard:

Another disappointed DIS'er here. I had wanted to eat at the Castle in December, but I don't think it's worth 2 dining credits and I don't really need a picture with Cinderella. I'm a grown woman who just likes to eat in the Castle. BooHoo

My fiance and I are very disappointed with this change. We never saw Cindy when we ate at the CRT but never cared we just enjoyed the atmosphere and the menu. It was always a good meal and we always ordered a specific appetizer, meal, and dessert. It is definitely not worth 2 table services to us and we will not be returning to the castle regardless of how much we enjoyed seeing the fireworks in the windows.
