We had a 7:15 reservation for February 24 (Sunday). I dressed my daughters as princesses (4 years and 9 months) and we all had a blast!
We checked in at 7:00 and were brought into the hall right away for pictures with Cinderella. My daughter was ecstatic because I had been told Cinderella wouldn't be there, just the Fairy Godmother. Cinderella was great, very sweet to the girls and always in character, just amazing!
We didn't wait long at all to be called upstairs. We had a table way in the back, which was ok, but I feel we really missed out on the entertainment in the middle of the room.
Our waitress was wonderful, in fact, service the entire night was impeccable.
The rolls and butter that were brought out were very good. The butter was flavored and I couldn't quite figure out what it was, very different and yummy. My DH didn't like it but he's very picky.
I ordered the spring rolls appetizer which was VERY good. My mom had the same and also liked it. My DH had a salad and seemed to enjoy it.
For our entrees I ordered the Tortellini and really liked it. It had a lot of very fresh, yummy veggies in it including asparagas and a very good sauce.
My mom and DH both had the prime rib. They liked it, it was ok, but not great. They both really liked the potatoes with it. There was a Jack Daniels type of sauce with it (so DH said, I'll take his word for it, I don't eat meat) and he liked it but Mom didn't.
DD4 chose the childs fish meal. It was essentially a small piece of grilled fish of unknown origin, rice pilaf, a bowl of yogurt and strawberries and veggies. She only ate the strawberries. The rice smelled funny and the fish looked weird. She was tired anyway and not into eating, but I wasn't forcing her to eat that.
My other daughter (9 months and will eat anything in front of her) was giving buttered pasta, I cut it up for her and put it on her table topper we brought and she chowed.
Dessert was ok, I didn't finish it, and honestly can't remember what it was so it couldn't have been that memorable!
The entertainment was good, the Fairy Godmother sure can sing, but they hardly came up to see us and when the mice came up they snuck up on my baby and scared the wits out of her, and she doesn't startle easy.
All in all I really had a lot of fun! It was worth the expense for the experience for my daughter, I just wish she had napped earlier in the day!
