Cinderella is my favorite princess but I am sorry to have to say I do not know what all the fuss is about booking CRT. I don't get why it sells out so fast. It is fun but no more so than any other good character breakfast. The food is o.k. & expensive. I think buffets are better so you have more to choose. Is it just the allure of eating in the castle?

I'd pick CM & CP over CRT anyday...am I the only one who doesn't "get" CRT? :confused3

We had breakfast at CRT last trip. My five-year-old daughter dressed up in her Cinderella dress and she was just blown away by getting to visit the princesses. She was on cloud nine the whole day, it was the highlight of the trip for me. Now when my DH and I go back for our anniversary in August, we will skip CRT because we normally don't eat such a big breakfast, but in December when the kids are along, we will definitely do it again. :goodvibes

I believe it is the allure of the Castle and the Princesses. Its more the atmosphere you are paying for than the food. We went in September with two little princesses and they are still talking about it. It was worth it just to see their faces when Cinderella came up to them and complemented them on their dresses, as did all the other princesses and the Fairy Godmother in the lobby was wonderful. If I were going with my little princess I would definitely take them again, on my own, I'd skip it. :cool1:

It's the atmosphere for us. My mother still laughs over our server calling her the "Queen Mother," and I loved the way they decorated our table for DD's birthday. The princesses took their time with us, chatting and signing DD's card, something that characters can't always do in larger settings. While I enjoy buffets (ahhh, Boma!!), it was also nice to stay seated for a meal, too. DS (yes, son) even asked for a PS there for his 8th birthday - though he's willing to try Chef Mickey's if I can't get the PS, thank goodness.

We have a 'princess' that is 5 and thinks you MUST eat at CRT with Cinderella in the real castle. It is all about atmosphere and princesses for us. We ate at PSB last Dec. and she loved it too b/c Jasmine was there- her favorite- but she still insists on eating in the castle (I hope we keep getting lucky and get the ps!). It is simply magical if you have a young daughter who loves the princesses- my DD believes she is a princess so this meal is perfect for her. Nothing beats being 'invited' to eat with Cindy and the princesses in the real castle for her. The magicical look in her eyes is priceless every time we go- we've been 3 times. She is in awe and it is her dream breakfast. It is so exciting to see your daughter so excited and in such awe of the princesses. We will continue to do CRT as long as the magic is still there for my daughter. No, the food is certainly not wonderful. Yep, the price is high like all other character meals- but they are all you can eat. Nope, I don't eat a lot here b/c we're so busy soaking everything in and taking pictures. But while the magic is still in my daughter's eyes, we will continue to try to get the coveted ps for CRT. princess:

For us the big deal is the fact that my 6 year old daughter who loves the Princess's is going to actually get to eat in *the castle! She is on cloud 9 :cloud9: I cannot wait to experience this with her. The boys are just coming along for the heck of it, although my almost 8 year old son does blush and try to hide a smile when we talk about eating with the Princess's :lovestruc

I don't care what anyone says it's very cool!! :sunny:

I know it can seem silly, but the combination of going up into the castle, the great collection of characters, and the medieval theme is just too much fun. Everyone who has or is or was a little girly-girl should do it once!!!!!! princess:

I am in my 30s and I had dinner there and I'll tell you that i had a grin on my face from ear to ear that I could not get rid of!! I turned into a 5 year old girl in that restuarant! It was like I walked into Cinderella's world! It was a girl's dream come true and I ddint even get to see the characters. Just the decor, atmosphere, the way the watier calls you princess and refers to you in the third person, like "would the princess like some more butter?" Or "May I get the princess some desert?"
It was awesome!!!! My fiance was getting a kick out of seeing me so giddy!!!

God, I love that place. If they had one here in California I would go all the time!!

Or how about Snow White telling your little princess she likes the "jewels" on her teeth! (ahem, braces) Then having her ask if the dwarfs made them for her. Priceless. princess:

CRT for breakfast has no draw for me. But then again, I don't have any little princesses at my house. If I did, I'm sure I would see the draw right away! Or maybe if my favorite characters were the princesses then I'd want to go. But my faves are Mickey and friends, so the character breakfasts with those guys are the ones that get my attention!

Lunch or dinner at CRT is a different story. Our whole family (me, DH, and 2 DS's) all loved eating in the castle sans princesses.

I saw the menu on allears....pretty simple straightforward breakfast. My question is do they deviate at all? My DH is a biscuits and gravy man. I see biscuits, but no mention of gravy. However, I see on Ohana's menu (we'll be staying at the poly), you can have sausage gravy upon request. Can we request it at CRT? Or not?

I have probably been to Disney World over 15 times in my life...and my mother is not the kind of person who would go through a lot of hassle to eat in the castle, even though I asked about it every year! It got to the point where I stopped asking and even forgot about it. Finally, in planning my 2yo DD's first trip to Disney world, my husband BEGGED to get to do the CRT breakfast. So I will reserve my judgment about whether or not it is worth while...but we are getting to live a fantasy for an hour!

We had dinner there last week and I loved the atmosphere. My DD is only 2 so I didn't try for breakfast this visit but will try for our next visit in 2007. If we can't get it, I won't be distraught because last week we got to visit with all the princesses in Toontown and Epcot and my daughter was thrilled. I will definitely have dinner at CRT again - I liked the food and the restaurant.

Is a 2yo too young for an enjoyable experience at CRT ? And do most people get PS that try early??!! Does Snow White ever appear, and does anyone know how long it is?!

DD4 and I ate at CRT (as well as PSB) in December and neither breakfast lived up to the hype. The character interaction at both was the most rushed and brief we've had at any character meal. The princesses spent about 30 seconds each at our table. I'm certainly not going to be on the phone by 7:00 AM trying for either one of these again. For Cinderella, we much prefer 1900 Park Fare - better food (buffet) and much better character interaction. As for eating in the castle, it's cool to do once (we'd previously had dinner there), but it wasn't all that.
