I'm sorry if this has been answered before but I looked through a few threads and other resources and couldn't find the type of info I wanted.

I really wanted to do a Be our guest reservation, but after spending 100 times calling when I finally got connected they were out of reservations for the day I wanted..

so my other quesiton is CRT may be my second option..
but I have a few questions

It will be just my DBF and I. It will be celebrating our 1 year anniv. so I wanted to do something special.

Is the food that great for a $131.00+ bill?
How is the noise factor I watched a few videos and the noise seemed so loud that it was unenjoyable.

As a couple, we wont have kids in our group and not really a need to see the princesses.. or it won't be that great of a draw.

Is it extremely crowded?

I think you're best bet would be to head over to the restaurant boards. Do you have to eat in MK that night? I ask because there are plenty of 'romantic' restaurant around WDW that would be perfect for an anniversary dinner :goodvibes

Ah shoot.. i forgot there was the food board.
And yes, we will be attending MK for one day and one day only. Also planning to do the christmas party.

As a couple, we wont have kids in our group and not really a need to see the princesses.. or it won't be that great of a draw. I think everyone should try CRT at least once, kids or not. People do romantic proposes there so it can't be that bad for adults!

Is it extremely crowded? Well, pretty much every table will be taken, but they don't let you up there until your table is ready.

My opinions are in blue.:goodvibes

No, it definitely is not worth the high $$'s. You are paying mostly for the experience, so if you want to go with that in mind, you would probably enjoy it. It is fairly crowded because it is a smallish restaurant and has lots of excited children in it ;) so yes, it's noisy!!

Sounds like it really isn't something you are looking for, but only you can decide. We've been there, done that, and glad we went with our children, but we have no plans to go back. The food is not worth half that, even considering Disney "prices".

They can get the high price because of the experience and that's fine. :)

We ate at the castle in May. It was a waste of money. Portions were tiny! They rushed us out of there too. Not worth the money IMO. They were also to patient with the picture at all and they both turned out horrible.

I wouldn't book CRT for an anniversary dinner I don't think... I'd go somewhere a little more romantic!! It's very loud and the food is mediocre - especially compared to other WDW places!

for our daughter, I would not have gone more than once. We kept going back to see the look in her face.

Anniversary, romance try Artist Point, Jiko, Flying Fish or Citricos. The price will be about the same and the food better.

If you at at MK, consider going to a restaurant at one of the Monorail hotels instead. Both GF and Contemporary have upscale restaurants that are great for special occasions, and you'd be able to get to your dinner and back to the park easily. Not sure about Christmas party though--personally I wouldn't waste my party time at a sit-down meal, but maybe you want to stay in the park for your dinner reservation. If you want CRT, go for it! It's not romantic by any stretch of the imagitation, but you're having dinner in Cinderella's castle!

I don't think CRT is a great place for an anniversary dinner. You'd be much better off at one of the signature restaurants at the monorail resorts (California Grill, Citricos and Narcooses) or 'Ohana at the Poly. For 'Ohana, I'd go one step farther and suggest a late ADR. If you eat AFTER the fireworks, the crowds will clear and the atmosphere is much better-suited for two adults.

Cali Grill will be closing for a refurb in January or February, so whether you can eat there depends on when your trip is.

Unless you really love the princesses, I would pick something else - especially if you're looking for anything remotely romantic. It's very crowded and loud, and the service is rushed. I honestly think finding a relatively quiet spot and eating some hotdogs from Casey's would be more romantic.

As far as the food goes, The quality is a little less than what you'd expect from someplace like Applebee's or TGIFriday's. So, no, the food alone is definitely not worth the cost. You're paying for the characters and the novelty of eating in the castle.

1) Ain't that the truth !
2) CRT
. . . is very noisy with little kids
. . . is very noisy with dishes clanging
. . . is only mediocre food quality
. . . is very overpriced for the type of food served
. . . is good for the princesses, but not for the meal

I don't know if this matters to you, but be aware that they do not serve alcohol at any restaurant inside MK, including CRT. I don't know about you, but I want a glass of wine on my anniversary!

The same thing happened to me! Waited an hour and a half and NOTHING for December 7, BUMMER :confused3. Inside the Magic said that there were none available the 5th or 6th and I thought maybe the 7th too. Anyone on here get the 7th? Anyway, me and my DBF are only in WDW for 2 days, the first day (the 6th) is all planned and now we have nothing for the 7th because I planned BOG :guilty:. I was thinking CRT but DBF won't be too excited about the princesses. I've never had dinner here only breakfast and the food was ehh. I wanted o'hana but nothing for reservations when I want. So I'm still debating. Might just do cosmic rays or another CS quick to save time and enjoy more of MVMCP. I would definitely check out all the monorail resorts though! :)

I couldn't get anything at BOG, either. So on a whim I opted for lunch at CRT. Lunch is less expensive than dinner, and I think it'll be hilarious to get a picture of my husband with a princess.

I'd never figured on seeing the inside of the castle, so I'm actually pretty excited about this. We'll eat at BOG on another trip.

Now, I just need to convince him to let me put an "Anniversary" note on our reservation. ;-) It's not technically our wedding anniversary, but this is our first trip without the kids, just him and me. I figure, anniversary or not, it's still a trip to celebrate our romance.

P.S. The CRT menu is here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?restaurant.id=120#menu

Its amazing

CRT gets so many moxed reviews and yet is one of the hardest reservations to get. I think eating at the castle is a very nice anniversary meal although i will agree witr a PP and say that i would like a bottle of wine with my meal

Why not pop out of the park for a bit for dinner at California Grill or Citricos or (if you want the most romatic, V&A's) and then you can head back for the party.
