Cinderella's Royal Table Proposal Packages and Special Events.

We just got back from celebrating our anniversary in the castle and I must say I was a little disappointed - it's a good thing I ordered the slipper dessert because otherwise it would be just having breakfast in the castle. They did not bring out flutes or even a certificate. It seems like it was very rushed and for the $ you pay it shouldn't be. Oh well, at least my DD got to eat in the castle. Not sure if we'll be dining there again anytime soon.

What a bummer!:sad1:

Like you, I think at least the certificate would have been a nice momento to have in honor of your anniversary.

Congratulations anyway...
and thanks for checking back.

Wow! I am sorry you did not even get a certificate. :( I am glad your dd got to enjoy her meal in the castle though.

This was one reason we booked dinner over breakfast..we heard b-fast was really rushed but dinner was a little more calm so I hope this is true. I am really sad that they may not do the certificate or wine flutes. I really wish I could special order these so I could make sure the night would have a little magic.

Wow! I'm excited to have my birthday breakfast and DS1's birthday breakfast in the castle in December. I cannot wait!! :cool1: I really don't have high expectations-just excited to eat in the castle-so I guess that's good. Like PP's I'll be having to order my own slipper or dessert or anything like that! :) DH's not the "planning" type. I'm glad I found this thread for lots of great ideas and the contact info for the CM who was nice enough to post it for all of us!

Can't wait to see what everyone else's feedback is.

If I knew about the toast, I would have ordered it so we would have the flutes to commemorate our 20th anniversary. It would have been nice to get the certificate though.

My proposal was wonderful!

Congratulations!!! That is beautiful. You are so lucky to have such a thoughtful fiance.

Oh my - these pictures are BEAUTIFUL!!!! All the faces were just so precious!

I love that glass slipper. Hmmm, I have been thinking about my 25th anniversary in 2010!!!!!!!!! Of course - I'd have to order the glass slipper for MYSELF!!!!!!!!!! (Oh well DH is so sweet in many ways :lovestruc but ordering that is just something he would not do!)

I thought the heart on it was at first a pendent that one of the earlier posters had also given to his DF but I see it was on the other too!

I hope it is still available in 2010 also. We plan on celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary at Cindy's April 2010.
:thumbsup2

This is from an e-mail I received from a CM: It is true about the flutes, in order to receive them you must now order a champagne toast (which is $7.00 per person, but if you would like to take home the flutes it is then $15.00 per person).

Well, thank you for posting that. Is it wrong that I feel vindication since so many other posters have insisted over two threads that they were not for sale and there was no such thing as a toast and yadda and yadda and yadda? :lmao:

But $30 for the two flutes is insane. They are NOT worth that.

$30 to take home the glasses they used to give for free??? Ahh, that is just really crummy. The meal is costly enough anyways and now they want that much to give those out to people celebrating?? Hmm... well.. I guess I get what I ask for as far as wishing I could just purchase them but not at that price..:rotfl: Does a certificate cost $15?

My dh and I ate there this past Feb for our 33 wedding anniversary breakfast. We loved it. We were so surprised when they gave us a pair of crystel champagne goblets. They were beautiful. It was special and we will always have our anniversary breakfast there from now on.

sorry me again. I apparently didn't read the whole post before i sent in my response. Our champagne flutes were free. We just thought it was an awesome deal--breakfast, pictures and flutes.

I have heard this so many times so I thought the same thing and was making the price to go there seem all the more worth it b/c that would be magical (along with eating in the castle of coarse)... paying an extra $30..not so magical! :rotfl:

Dh and I celebrated our 5th Anniversary at CRT for breakfast and were surprised with the same pair of Flutes shown in a PP. We paid NOTHING extra for them and there was no toast or Champagne involved, in fact I have only taken one of them out of the box to look at it, as soon as we finish moving I can set them out. When I made the reservation, I made sure to mention that we were celebrating an Anniversary. They also gave me the plastic wand and Dh a sword and each a wishing star.

That is really awesome for you, but it was random pixie dust if it happened in 2008. Sadly, that is not standard operating procedure anymore, no matter what you note on your ADR.

Well Pay or not I am going to contact Meredith to get the slipper dessert for our anniversary dinner at CRT and tell her I would like the champagne toast.

If I have to pay, well than oh well. But maybe there will be pixie dust flying on that day and they wont charge lol pixiedust:

And if they do well I still would rather put out the money and have the wonderful memory of a great dinner, without the kids, to celebrate a wonderful day in history, the day I married my Prince Charming

If I was told about the "toast", I would have ordered and paid for it because I wanted our anniversary to be extra magical in the castle. I can't help but feel a little disappointment since I saw a PP with the beautiful flutes and certificate given to them as a gift. Well we all live and learn - if you don't expect anything, you can't be disappointed. It just shows us all that WE have to make our own magic.

My DH and I will be having breakfast at CRT for our anniversary on Christmas morning. We had it indicated on our ADR. I'd love to make it extra special with those flutes, but now I'm torn on whether to just chance that we'll get them for free or call ahead.

Why on earth would one think she'd get the flutes for free when CRT charges for them now? If it's not important to you and you choose to chance it, that is one thing, but others here are saying that it was an important part of their celebration and it didn't happen. You can avoid that disappointment if it is a priority. There are always lots of anniversary celebrations going on in the castle.

Plus, I think the toast needs to be arranged in advance anyway though I am not 100% certain about that.

The posters who have mentioned getting them for free, one said it was not recently and the other never responded if it was.

I just don't get it. It's really important to make your own magic, it isn't actually Disney's responsibility to provide it. I am saying this because I hate reading reports of disappointment and sadness when a celebration isn't noted in the way the guests wanted ... I feel awful for them.

If I were you, I would call ahead and order the toast to avoid being disappointed. We just had breakfast at the castle on 6/27/08 and our 20th anniversary was noted on our ADR and I even ordered the slipper dessert but we never received flutes nor even a certificate. Had I known they discontinued gifting the flutes, I would have ordered the toast. Good luck whatever you choose to do.
