Family with two teenaged girls, neither one is necessarily a princess lover, but they love the whole Disney Magic thing. Would you recommend this character meal for us? Is it geared too much for younger girls, or can anyone at any age appreciate? From what I have read, the castle itself seems like a really cool place to have a meal, regardless of which characters are there. DD's also really like good food; so for the money it's a choice between CRT and Yactsman's Steak House or Fulton's; which would you recommend? Character wise for this stay, we will also be trying for reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern, and Cape May Cafe (both love Minnie). Done Chef Mickeys for breakfast before so looking for a new experience. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Lets see I'm 20 and I still love CRT ! The princesses are truly wonderful, view is great, food is good, and atmosphere is the best. Yachtsman Steak House from what I read has been hit or miss lately but I found it yummy! Fulton's i'm bias i hate seafood but the idea of the boat is cool. Fulton and Yachtsman don't bring disney magic to me but CRT does.Your other three ideas are GREAT I saw Hawaiian Minnie at Ohana's once which was nice! :)

It's my 14 year old son's favorite...but for breakfast. I won't pay that much for a nice steak and not have a glass of wine with it, so we don't eat there for dinner. But, we love breakfast, and my son loves it, even at a very cool 14!

I am almost 20...wow...sorry i just realized that. I still love it, I do not think you can put an age on when to stop going to things like that. Well maybe for H&V playhouse disney, but not when it comes to dining in the castle. My dream engagement involves cinderella castle or something along those lines. If the love the disney magic they will love dining in the castle. It is a memory they will forever hold on to, and truthfully I think this is the best age to do it. They are at an age where the memory will always stay and they can look back and go oh yea I remember on this trip we ate in the castle etc. Even if they are not huge princess lovers. Yachtsman or Fultons does not have the disney magic that CRT holds. You can get steak or seafood other places but when do you get to eat in the castle? Sorry for this to be so long.

Let's just say I'm taking my best friend there for her 18th B-day.

Hi, we did CRT in '05 with 4 teenage girls and one 13 yr old boy, my two 30ish dd's and sil, me 50ish and ex-dh 60ish. We all loved it. The Fairy Godmother especially loved the ex's bald head! We had an awesome server, he took our pictures with our cameras, called every one Princess or Prince and I was the Queen Mother:cool1: .We could see the fireworks light up outside. It was a one time experience that we all loved and will always remember. We also loved the garden grille. I think the kids liked that best, Pluto also loved dh's bald head:confused3 ,and we all loved chip & dale.

Our teen DD & DS love CRT 1st thing in the AM. We try to get an 8:00 AM ADR on a non early entry park morning. They absolutley love wlaking into the "empty" park to take pictures and stroll down Main St. to get to Cindy's.

They eat the adult breakfast and always ask and they do get the kids french toast sticks.

They love to be first at the rope drop to get to Splash Mtn.

Yes - CRT is great for any age :goodvibes

All big kids here. :cool1: We like lunch time. Great meal in the middle of the day. Still characters but it seems to be alittle more relaxed than the morning excitement. A real treat to eat in the Castle at any age !!

For those that took the time to reply; thanks for the input. If I can get reservations, I figure it will be a once in a lifetime experience. Thanks again. :thumbsup2

My DD9 is really not into princesses either but we have a breakfast booked there for October. We want to eat in the castle, regardless of who is there.
