Is this as hard to get as breakfast? What about dinner? We are going down on Jan 1-8th. Yesterday, my DD says...."it's been so long since we ate in the castle...let's do that!" I'm thinking, sure Mom can do anything!

It is not likely that you could get a reservation in the castle this late, but you could always try.

Breakfast and lunch are generally booked 90 days+ out. Now it will change to 180 days + out under the new ADR program.

As of now, breakfast and lunch are character dining, and As of Feb 1, all meals are character dining, and will double in price.

I had no trouble getting a CRT dinner ressie for mid-January, but I did call at 90 days out. I think you'll have a better chance of a dinner ressie than a lunch one. But all you can do is call and ask!

I already called and couldn't get an ADR...did that first (actually last night right after she said it). I was more or less asking about walk ups... But since I failed to say that in the original post, I have also decided not to take your post as snippy as it sounds!

That is all I really wanted to know....had the lunch or dinner become as hard to get as the breakfast has been for years. I wasn't asking how to get ADRs..I was just curious as to the popularity of the meals.

I got one about a week and a half ago for next weekend. Keep trying.

Walk ups pretty much don't happen for breakfast or lunch now. You have to cancel 24 hours in advance, or pay a $10 per person cancellation fee.

You might have a tiny chance calling really close to the 24 hours before the times you can go if someone cancels at the last minute.

Other than that, you can keep calling between now and when you arrive and hope there is a cancellation.

If you get one, it probably uses up a lifetime supply of pixie dust though.

We just booked a trip yesterday and I made my dining reservations at the same time. I got the Cinderella Castle lunch for Jan 16th at 12:05. I couldn't beleive it.

My Dsis, going in Jan also got the breakfast las week at 9:05am for Jan 26th.

Don't give up and keep calling!

Can't hurt to keep trying. I was able to get an ADR about 3 weeks before our trip. It was kind of a last minute trip induced by great deals on airfare and free dining, so I only had two months to get ADRs and I got what I wanted. For CRT lunch I had to call more than once. I called a few times and the CM who took the ressie screamed into the phone when she saw the lunch opening. I was only asking for the possibilty of having dessert in the castle for dinner. She said let me check one thing... and then started squealing "ooooh I got it I got it!" She said it was rare, but she found a lunch cancellation. I guess I got lucky but I can't be the only one who gets lucky... sending pixie dust your way...

My family had lunch at the CRT Friday, Nov. 11th. I got it by calling 90 days ahead of time. We were all hanging around in the area of the castle as the time got closer. I saw a woman go up to the entrance table and ask if she could reserve lunch that day.

She was quickly told it had to be reserved 180 days away and it wasn't easy to get. That was the first time I heard it had moved to 180 days. We and my three grandchildren loved our lunch with the princesses.
