Anyone tried dinner at the Castle? My daughter is turning 3 and absolutely LOVES Cinderella. We tried to get ADR's for the lunch, but it was booked (this is an extremely last minute trip), so we opted for the dinner instead. And 1900 Park Fare is booked as well. What's everyone's thoughts on the dinner? It is a little expensive...

We had lunch there and loved it-the food was better than people had said. Just be sure for dinner that Cindy is there-I heard just the fairy godmother was there for dinner...

We had dinner there in January. Cinderella is downstairs for pictures( which are included). In the dining room the mice and fairy godmother put on a show. The food was excellent and we all really enjoyed this meal. Your daughter will love it.

I was told the same thing when I was making my ADR for the Royal Table. They said that she would be out in the hall? for meet and greets, but not in the restaurant for dinner.

Have you considered breakfast? Cindy does do breakfast and you get the photo package too. That's what I want to book, if anyone has any experience with breakfast, I would like to hear...

But anyway, I think the bottom line is if you don't book exactly 180 days in advance, you're going to have a VERY tough time getting ressies at the palace.:guilty:

Not necessarily. I tend to plan our trips at the last minute and I've never had issues getting reservations. I think the last time I booked CRT I called maybe 2 months before our trip. I think the key is felxibility. Not saying you'll definitely get a table bit felxibility with your times and dates certainly helps. :)

As for the dinner, I didn't think the food was fabulous but the atmosphere was great. We took pictures with Cinderella before dinner and the photo package (free) was a nice touch. I thought the show with the Fairy Godmother and Suzie and Perla was cute. Plus my girls really enjoed their magic wands. :thumbsup2

We leave next Tuesday for our trip, and called sometime last week. So only about a 2 week notice, but we did manage to get reservations for dinner there. The only drawback, it's at 9:45!! We're going to get the girls a light snack and let them nap before going so it's not a complete disaster.

we returned and went to CRT BF on Monday, but we had the DDP. If there is a big price difference then BF might be better and she will see other princess during the meal. But the food value was better for dinner. It is alot of money to spend on BF, for us it was not worth it as we are not big BF eaters. We did the dinner last year and i preferred that. In both cases, Cindy will be downstairs. But the mice and Godmother show was cute.
As for 1900 Park Fare, atmosphere was good, but i was disappointed in the food, and i am not a fussy eater.

Did CRT dinner last week immediately after DD5 had received the BBB treatment: Cindy was downstairs for a meet & greet, autograph and photo (included in price), FGM & the mice did a small show in the restaurant.

It's good to know that you don't absolutely HAVE to call at the 180 day or so mark.

Does anyone know if wands or swords will be given to children older then 9 upon request?

We were there last week too and had a fabulous time! Cindy was downstairs for pictures and was wonderful to my girls! Expensive but totally worth it for my daughter's experience!
