Well, DD9 wants to meet the Princesses whilst dressed in her Princess gear at Akershus. DNiece7 has agree to this as long as she can get to eat as the castle, but doesn't want to dress up for the CRT!

I've agreed to their compromise that they worked out together. I've told them there is no guarantee for either but I'll certainly try. DN isn't even concerned about meeting the princesses again, just wants to eat in the castle.

While eating at CRT do the girls need to wear a pretty frock to be in place. We won't be dressing in our gowns twice. Perhaps I should try for breakfast for when we are all fresh?

We on DDP I'm not worried about the credits.

Lots of kids just wear their normal park clothes. Shorts/jeans and a tee shirt. That is for both places. So they wont be out of place. Some people bring the dress and have the kids change just for the meals but there is no need beond the girl wanting to.

I agree that many girls don't dress up so that the girls certainly won't feel out of place not dressing up. However, it does seem like more girls dress up for CRT. It is just a little more formal than Akershus. If they were going to choose just one to dress up at, this is the one I would choose. Like sissy ib said, many girls wear their dresses just for the meals and change for the parks afterwards. We did this with my DD and it worked out great.

But I would go with what the girls want...it's their special treat!

I changed my dd into her dress for the meals. We'd check in a bit early then go into the bathroom and change. The one at CRT is actually huge and private but you need to go early because everyone's in there for a long time ;)

We went in sept when it was as hot and muggy as all get out so having a chance to freshen up (and cool down) a bit before our character meals was very pleasant.

Have fun! Both are really fun --Akershus was a better experience for us overall though.

My DD did not dress up when we ate at the Castle. There were plenty of girls in regular park clothes. They will be fine.

Yeah, I'll agree with the others: no need for the princess dresses. It's going to be pretty warm and muggy when you guys go. I've never done Ankershus but I agree with your niece: eating in the castle is awesome! I'm in my mid 30s and I was so excited last summer, I didn't sleep very well the night before.

The bathroom you are referring to is a companion care restroom and is meant for those needing a companion for transferring to the toilet or have special needs. Chaning into a princess gown is not a special need so please don't perpetuate the problem by hogging the bathroom for costume changes.
