so I just found out Disney decided to open MK at 8:00 on a day we have an 8:30 ADR. there's no option of rescheduling at this point and this is a reservation we have to keep for our daughter. my question is am I completely screwed about getting in the park early to hopefully snap a few pictures before the crowds.

I was really hoping to avoid all the ropedrop people but now it doesn't look like I'll be able to. :(

Most likely. We had an 8:15 BBB appointment and then they changed our 9 am opening to 8. We were not able to get in early. I ended up booking a PPO Crystal Palace breakfast on another day to get in early for castle pics.

No, they are not going to let you in before 8 for and 8:30 adr. It doesn't take more then a half hour to walk down main street. That stinks, I hate when they change the hours at the last minute. Don't rush your breakfast though.

this happened to us on our last trip. Had an 8:15 for CP, then early entry was added. Our plan was to head straight to Anna and Elsa after but sadly their wait was an hour and a half at 9! :( we have an early ressie at CRT this trip, really hoping that doesn't happen again!

Nothing you can do... but do go all the way to the castle and the last photographer is usually at the top of the circle. This photographer usually shoots the pictures at an angle to get the castle and you get only a few people in the photo and miss all the main street foot traffic. The closer to the castle you get the less Main Street you get in your photo.

Too bad.... this happens a lot though when they change park hours. It's always good to make a couple early reservations so you can change things around when Disney pulls this
