I have two boys, age 9. We never went to the castle, and I would like to try it once. It looks great for girls or younger boys. Do you think my boys would be too old to enjoy it. Who are the characters? Do the boys get swords? I know they would like that.

I just got back from Disney about 3 weeks ago. the castle used to be our favorite place to dine. We always would eat dinner there. Great Food, Good Service. Recently they have changed the menu and the food is not nearly as good, and the service has suffered as well. Definitley not worth the price. If you do want to dine there, i recommend the breakfast (if you can get reservations). It is more geared towards girls, though, because it is a Princess breakfast and all the Princesses walk around. I have a 3 year old girl and a two year old boy. My daughter absolutely loved it (dressed up like Cinderella). My son liked it as well, though it is more for girls. They did give the girls a wand and the boys a sword. For dinner, you really will not see any characters other than Cinderella in the lobby. If I was you, I'd go to the Crystal palace buffet int he Magic Kingdom instead. It's a buffet, more variety and the characters walk around to meet you. The Castle has definitley taken a HUGE step backwards and I would not recommend it.
