party: :jumping1: Has anyone here ever stayed at Cinderellas castle could you tell me how it is if you've been there, because it seems nice but I want to get from somebody who has been there first:jumping1: party:

I believe that in order to stay at the castle you have to win it....there is only one room (as far as I know) and it is part of the year of a million dreams contest! I know I would LOVE to stay there, I saw a video of the room on disney.com and it is absolutely amazing!!!

Thanks IcePricess didn't know that at all I thought was that you could book a trip there oh and did any of you know that :fish: Walt Disney :fish: himself stayed in that room that truly was his room he slept in Cinderela's castle!!!!!!:earseek:

Sorry, Beeta. It would be nice if it were true. The room was originally designed to be a room for the Disney family but Walt Disney passed away in December of 1966, 5 years before construction of Cinderella Castle was completed in July of 1971. The room was used as a call center for years and also as a Cast Member break room before it was converted to the suite it is today.

I no that disney did stay in cinderellas castle but they rebilt about 3 times because I read a bography on him!:stir: :bored: :chat: :hyper2:

Who ever wrote your biography was confused

1966

A 24-minute preview of the “Florida Project,” including plans for EPCOT (“Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow”), is recorded by Walt Disney on October 27.

Walt Disney dies of lung cancer at the age of 65 on December 15; Walt’s brother, Roy, moves forward with the Disney World Project.

1967

Legislation creating the Reedy Creek Improvement District, which allows Walt Disney Productions to proceed with construction of Walt Disney World, passes both the Florida House of Representatives and Senate, and is signed into law on May 12.

Site preparation begins for Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

1968

A Florida Supreme Court ruling allows the Reedy Creek Improvement District to issue tax-free bonds to help finance the Disney World project.

1969

Construction begins on Disney’s Magic Kingdom, including Main Street U.S.A. and the 189-foot-high Cinderella Castle.

Yeah that is wrong. He did stay in an apartment in Disneyland that was on Mainstreet. I also never heard of the castle being built several times over. I have read that the apartment was still made for the Disney family but no one ever used it because it was designed for Walt. On these boards is where I heard it was used as a call center, but I can't verify that. My mom has a HUGE, thick book about Walt Disney, and i have read bits and pieces of it, but intend on reading the whole thing soon, and One of Walts dying worries was that Roy would end the project, Especially EPCOT.

And you have to win the suite. No buying it yet. Though it has been rumored that in the future really RICH people may get to.(like stars)

Make sure you click on the that tangiblehope posted . The lady tells all about winning the suite!
