Cinderella's Castle Playset

Hello,

DD has a birthday coming up and we saw cool Cinderella Castles displayed in an Emporium Store on Mainstreet during our amazing April visit to WDW. Does anyone know:

How much the castle costs at WDW?
How tall/big it is?
What the age suggestion is?
Where I can purchase one from here in the midwest before her September birthday?

I have seen a couple on ebay and they are a rectangle box that says "Cinderella's Castle Playset" on the lower part of the box and "Disneyland and Walt DisneyWorld" on the upper part of the box. Most sell it new for $90 plus shipping. Is this "the one" from WDW and is the price fair?

I looked on ebay before I responded.

This is the exact castle I bought for my niece at WDW 2 years ago in June 2006. I still have the receipt. I paid $65.00 at DTD.

If I were you I would call the WDW direct and order it from them. You'll get it before Sept. I bought the Disney Bear Golden Book at a store in Downtown Disney and then I was kicking myself afterwards for not buying the bears to go with the books..... I called WDW and ordered the bears and I got them really quick. The shipping was reasonable.

I can have my niece bring hers tomorrow so I can measure it for you........ but an estimate would be..... taller than 12 inches but less than 24 inches. Sorry... I'm lousy with measurements.

My niece was 7 when I bought it for her.... but my 4 year old son has been playing with it recently. I'm not sure what the age suggestions are.

Super Helpful! I called the number and ordered the castle. And it is great to know that it is the same one I am seeing pics of on ebay. That one looked like it but I was not sure since it was April when I last saw it. Plus the endorsement of you niece and son help too. It cost $69 plus shipping and will indeed be here for Syd's birthday. Plus I was able to get a Lightning McQueen basketball jersey for DS that we saw at WW of Disney and did not buy. Who knew he "needed" a baseball one and a basketball one.... I was kind of skeptical of the phone number at first cuz you never know but it was indeed legit.

The castle is about 20 inches tall. My dd loves hers. We have had it for 2 years and the only thing that has broken on it was Aurora!

A little tidbit...the pvc sets at the Disney Store that are 2/$20 work perfectly with the castle!

We got it for her for her 3rd birthday. And she still loves it!

Would it be cheaper to buy it through disney direct or buy it while down in disney and have the resort or whomever ship it out?

We were just there a couple of weeks ago and bought DD (3 yrs old) one and had it shipped home. It was $69 and about $10 to ship. We also did not have to pay tax since we paid for it and had it shipped home without even taking it into our possession. One thing to make sure when you get it is that it lights up and makes sound. Ours did not when we unpacked it. I called and told WDW the situation. They asked that we fax the receipt and they got a new one out to us asap. They even told us not to send the other one back, just keep it or give it to charity.

We have *almost* bought the castle a million times LOL. But, we saw one set up in the giftshop at All Star Movies and decided against it. It was destroyed and with 4 kids under 5, I knew the same would happen here at home. Plus it was tiny for more than 1 kid. If I had only one child, Id get it in a heartbeat.

Where in DTD did you find it? I think it is adorable and my DD will be "asking" Santa for it this year!

I would rather get it in DTD if possible so my older son does not see us ordering it. Thank you!

I have checked them out online but see some different styles and with all the different naming, I am unsure which is the actual one sold at Disney.

Two different Disney's Cinderella Castle Playset links brought me to an Ebay listing and one from another site, but totally different?

My daughter currently has the Melissa and Doug castle which we love, and the Disney figurines almost all fit in all the turets and whatnot, but I still am interested in the 'actual' castle.

We had a Royal Princess Ball for my DD's 5th birthday. She got the Playset and I wrapped it in special paper and included a card that said Cinderella sent it. She went wild!

We got it 2 years ago for my dd. To this day she still plays with it and so do her friends when the come over. I know you can also get it at the Disney Store in NYC. In fact I saw it there less than a month ago. I believe we paid $60 for it and had it shipped home.

My dd bought her castle at the Grand Floridian's gift shop in 2005. She had saved up most of her spending money throughout the trip and on our last day there, we lost our backpack! We had a bit of a monorail adventure trying to catch up with that thing, and were finally told to wait at GF until it came to us! So......we shopped!

Last year (Sept 07) on our visit to Disney we saw the Castles in the gift shop at our hotel the Coronado Springs my daughter loved it so we decided to buy 2 one for my daughter and one my niece as Christmas presents they were 69.00? and we paid for S&H which was about $25.00. They can be shipping directly to your house which I feel is very convienent because the box itself weight at least 20lbs.
I think this playset is definitly worth the $$ and I have seen the exact same playset sell for 199.00 on different web sites..It sell for the same price through out Disney which is about 69.00.. If interested call any gift shop in any of the Disney hotels and they can tell you how to order it.
