I was reading in the 2007 version of the Unofficial Guide to WDW that you need to make reservations 180 days in advance (p. 309, I believe). However, in the next paragraph, it states 90 days in advance. Does anyone know which is correct?

My daugher's favorite character is Cinderella. Would the castle breakfast be the best to attend (I know there are a dozen or so different character breakfasts at various locations).

Thanks in advance!
Ryan

180 days. They say it's a hard one to get.

I believe now you also have to credit card prepay when you make your reservation.

It is 180 days. I had no trouble getting it when I called at 180 days out. To make sure you see Cinderella, you have to go to CRT (I think she is in the lobby at all three meals) or 1900 Park Fare for dinner.

Cinderella is a substitute at Askershus but not a regular. You can also try to catch her in the princess line in Toontown.

Good luck!

What if you have DDP??

I was on DDP and had to give them a credit card to hold the reservation. They mistakenly charged my card - I just called back and said I was using DDP and they credited my card back for the amount.

Thanks for clarifying the number of days. How do the various character meals rank. Are they all nearly the same?

I know Cinderella's Castle is the most expensive (and I believe has the most princess characters). In your opinion, would be the top 3?

By the way, we will have a 4 1/2 year old and a 2 year old (both girls) when we visit.

Thanks again!!

We also have 2 daughters. One is almost 6 and the other is 2.

Our top 3 favorites are:
Cinderella's Royal Table
Princess Story Book Breakfast
1900 Park Fare for the Cinderella dinner

Do you see at theme here?? We love the princesses! :lovestruc
We always do them all on each trip.

We have done the breakfast in the castle many times but this last trip we decided to do lunch instead. I really enjoyed the lunch, the food was great!

If you want the castle make sure you call 180 days out and right when their reservation line opens.

I was so worried! My daughter's 3rd bday is July 8th and we decided quickly (in a day) to go to WDW with my dad yesterday. I immediatley called and amazingly got ADRs for lunch on July 8th! Im so excited Im doing everything I can not to spill the bean! I also booked her for BBB right before lunch so she's all dolled up and ordered a special cake for her at lunch. What a great bday she is going to have

Best Character meal food was at GF for Breakfast. Food was the best I had compared to any other. I would definetly go again. Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh, Tiger, Mary Poppins & Pluto (?) were there.

Do you have to have a hotel/ticket reservation in order to make a dining reservation?

No. They can book reservations under your phone #.

OP- If your kids like My Friends Tigger and Pooh (my DD is a fan) then I would suggest Crystal Palace at MK. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and all 3 get good reviews here on the DIS.:thumbsup2

Also, as far as Cinderella goes, you may want to consider the other characters who are with her. At Park Fare dinner it is generally the Prince, step sisters and step mother. Everyone says the step family is a hoot, but my DD is afraid of the step mother so we are trying the castle this year which has other princesses as well. DD and I were both a little bummed about the change, me because now I have to pay more; her because she loves Prince Charming.:lovestruc

If you want to see more princesses then go to the Princess meal in Norway they usually have 5 - we have seen Aurora, Belle, Ariel, Jasmine, Cinderella both times we have gone. I thought the Castle meal had only Cinderella and maybe the mice and Fairy Godmother but I could be wrong!

Can someone clarify the princesses likely to be at Cinderella's Royal Table? I thought it was practically all the princesses? Are the mice there too? I love Jaq and Gus!

The dinner has photos with Cindy then you go upstairs and you see a show with the Fairy Godmother and 2 girl mice (suzy & Perla).

The lunch and breakfast have photo then several princesses including Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland and from what I hear occasional a prince stops by
