Cinderella started off with a bang in March and then has continued to hold very well. It has also done great business in China and is now having a great run in Japan where it started in late April. And to think this is with a princess girls movie with no big stars and no big twist. Great movie and a big congratulations to all involved!
Live action versions of classic animated movies are now considered a franchise, and are a very successful one at that. Many more are coming!

"Walt Disney Studio’s Cinderella just crossed $500M worldwide after bowing with a $67.8M domestic haul on March 13. Disney is having a heck of a year so far, with Marvel’s Avengers Age of Ultron already a worldwide hit. In fact, both of those films together (along with Big Hero 6) has been the key films to propel the studio to over $1B in the first quarter of the year at the international box office. Ultron has so far grossed $695.4M as of today and China has yet to open."
