I am supposed to do the next installment....and I have been.....stalling

I am assuming I will do the day and Dawn will do the evening part. So since we are on our last day, you know once I get mine done we will be finished in about 2 days. Dawn is SO fast

hey, everybody! an update should be coming your way either tomorrow or monday!

so is anyone having a superbowl party tomorrow? ray and i used to have one every year but last year he decided not to and he enjoyed the game so much more. no matter how hard you try to watch the game, with a house full of people it's almost impossible to pay attention to. and i'm glad too - last year's game was incredible! neither of us really care who wins this year but i think i'm gonna cheer for arizona since the steelers won three years ago. ray went to the store today and bought a bunch of junk food for tomorrow. i'm making a bbq chicken and corn salad to try to help with all those temptations. i've lost 6 pounds since christmas and i don't plan on gaining them all back tomorrow!

Hi, hope your soup turn out just like the one at Boma. I havn't eaten there yet, we are planning to go for breakfast. The place looks so pretty. I want the juice and a zebra dome.

The Boardwalk looks so nice in the evening with all the lights. I would love to take a stroll down the path.

POP looks like so much fun, I like the Twister and the Potatoe Heads.

I think Ray would hop in his car and come down to get you, if you decided to stay there. Not happening, I'm sure.

boma is a beautiful restaurant! i hope you enjoy breakfast there. the boardwalk is so nice at night!

Hey Vandy Girls! I am soooooooo behind on your report! But I do have 2 comments:

1. I've never been at AK long enough to see the parade. If I do get to go back in December, maybe I'll see it then.

2. Why doesnt Boma's food photograph well? Everytime I show people pics of the food, they screw their faces up! Oh well, at least WE know it's GREAT!

Ok, hopefully, I'll catch up! Glad I didnt miss the boat altogether!

i hope you get to go back in december and see the AK parade....it's great! just go there later in the day, around 3:00, grab a frozen lemonade and find some shade and enjoy!

boma's food does look yucky in pics. i showed it to ray and he was like, NOPE! but i really wanna take him there next trip. i know he'd like it.

in addition to hte low sodium chicken brooth next time only add 1 cup of soy sauce (lite soy sauce) at first, when it is about done try it and if the flavor is there dont add the 2nd cup, if not then add a little more and let it simmer for a little when you add the extra soy sauce,

i didn't think it was spicy at all. i think with the low sodium broth, that will help a lot with the salt. the next time i make it i'll let you know!

Looking forward to the update! We were going to head to a Super Bowl party, but Chelsea was awake sick all night , so I guess we will be staying home. I am so not a football person that I have been thinking all week that it was the St. Louis Cardinals not the Arizona Cardinals (apparently I missed their move at some point) until you said something.

I will watch it just to see the commercials!

Ok....I am laughing at myself and this really all is funny when you tie it together. I had also forgotten that the 'Cardinals' were in St Louis but when I read this I was thinking...Jackie don't you know that's their baseball team?

The Cardinals moved from St Louis in '87. I would have been 7 so no wonder it doesn't seem fresh to me Nor would I have cared.

St Louis has the Rams now. Which Kurt Warner (QB of the AZ Cards now) was the QB for the Rams that beat the titans in the super bowl 10 years ago in Tampa also.

Then when I looked up the Rams just for the heck of it....they were in Cleveland , when to LA, and then to St Louis in '95

And for more trivia....The Cardinals originally started in 1898 (WOW) in Chicago are the oldest professional american football team, then moved to St Louis in '60 and then AZ in '87. And they have never been to the Super Bowl!!

Really, I think all these NFL teams just need to sit still so we aren't all so 'corn'fused

I will watch it just to see the commercials!

When the titans aren't in it I really just watch for the commericals too!! I will miss parts of the game before I miss the commercials

Then when it gets to the 4th quarter and it's still a good game I will really pay attention!

I'm still just sad and bitter than the Titans didn't make it to todays game but how freaky if we had we would have been again playing against Kurt Warner and in Tampa. Maybe it didn't happen for a reason

But since I don't have them to choose....GO CARDS!!

OH!! And b/c I know EVERYONE wants to know my boys finally won a conference game yesterday. We beat Auburn on thier court which is always good.

You haven't heard me talk much about basketball b/c we haven't been so good since the SEC season has started

Thanks, Erica for clearing that up. I knew I heard St. Louis Cardinals more recently than 1987 -- apparently football and baseball get grouped in the same compartment in my brain.
