im not to sure if hte wife and i could handle that by ourselfs when we go, but i might give it the o college try.

it was! oh, goodness, no! ray and i couldn't make a dent in that thing! we figured since there will be 5 of us we'd try it. i don't know if i'll ever be back at disney with 5 people again so this is our chance! and we have a 4 year old with us - you know how they are about ice cream! hopefully he'll be a big help.

i wanted to share this with erica and i figured this was the best place to do it.

we went out to dinner saturday night for a friend's birthday and i asked ray to check the vandy/florida score on his iphone for me. this was my reaction when i saw the score - anna happened to capture it.

i figured only erica (and other life-long vandy fans) could appreciate that! i don't even remember what the score was at that point - just A LOT to NOTHING. if i had to guess i'd say this was around 9:30. they may have been in the 2nd quarter or so because i did see the 4th quarter once we got home. anyways, just thought you'd get a kick outta that!

gotta add it in....even though we're not doing all that great now....

Chefs looks so great! I am a lover of all things French! I have been to Disney about 8 times and I don't ever remember the library...I'll have to make sure to hit it the next time.
Love the Vandy reaction! I have a friend who just finished up her PhD there. When I saw the score, I left a message on her facebook wall asking what happened! I am a Boston College girl myself...I have come to accept the inevitable CHOKE!

I obviously didn't tell you my guess at the score for the last few weeks......70-7 was my pick and it was 35-0 at the half so we were half way there but it didn't end up that bad......42-14 I think...but like a friend reminded me....UF beat UK 63-5 and we head there Sat. Just need that freakin' 6th win!!!!!!

I actually have never noticed until now how funny it is to look at everyone's face in the background. And how it changes from now until they realize that he is 'the' show

erica had the creme brulee. sorry - no long french name there. that's it: CREME BRULEE! she said it was good. i can't remember if i tried it or not.

Now this.....this was AWESOME!!! Maybe it was good I hadn't eaten so much so I could enjoy EVERY bite of it

we thought this was an appropriate sentiment for our trip!

I really think this was right over our room. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think we saw this when we parked that afternoon and thought how funny that's right over the top of us!

Oh I am definitely used to the 'choke' now especially for football. I just hear in my head over and over again, poor ol' Vandy. Drives me crazy sometimes. Oh well gotta go to UK this week!

Alan - Auburn is my 'west' team so I don't like seeing them not do well either , but that gameday was one of the best football day's I've ever had as a Vandy fan! I'm sure you saw those pics too

I have a good friend that's an AU fan and I just told him the other day maybe you guys would beat them since Tuberville has a pretty good record against them I think UF will take care of Bama in the championship game anyway.

Had to take a pic of the ferry thinking of my mom. She always wanted to ride on the boat and my dad and I ALWAYS wanted to ride the monorail. I can't even think of a time she won out

I love being able to see all the resorts around the lagoon

And another favorite....seeing a monorail coming towards you!

After it raining on us the whole way here I don't think it rained a drop once we got in the park! How luck are we??!!?? Hurricane Hanna had moved on through and allowed us to have a wonderful party!

Then we went and hit Snow White. I used to be terrified of this ride as a child, but even as scared as I was I always wanted to ride it Although I do think Mr Toad's Wild Ride was worse!

Somewhere around here we bought our deeley-boppers as we called them. This completed our outfit!! We were both wearing shirts we had bought each other and had great toppers to complement

The carousel. I hadn't done this in forever!!

Then we headed for Alice and Wonderland's trail

There wasn't a very long line at all for Alice. And since she is Dawn's fave we could not go with out seeing her and I wanted to meet her too!

Dawn will have to tell you guys what she was telling Alice but I think Alice was scared of her shirt

Alice was VERY sweet and I'm glad we got to see her!

The little guy in the Mike costume was SO cute!! I tried to get a good pic of him and I should have just gone and asked him to pose. I just loved that outfit!




Well that's all I have for tonight. And now for the worst news of the trip. I will prob. let Dawn do the next installment b/c I don't have any more pictures until the parade

We decided that the ghost from the party must have eaten my pics and yes I'm very sorry to say included Hallowishes

I am still VERY upset about it and have no idea what happened I think we will have video of the fireworks. I'm just so sad we won't have any pics. AND I was using Dawn's tripod so they were probably incredible pictures

But to end on a good note

Life in middle TN is great for football fans!!!

My Dores made it to 6-0 FINALLY and have a good chance to win the last 2 games. At least I sure HOPE we do not lose to ut

i think you're right! it seems like we talked about the fact that our room was just to the left of that purple skate.

i have to mention our ticket mixup. as we went through the turnstyles into MK for MNSSHP, neither one of our tickets would work. the CM looked at them and said they were for 9/9..... this was 9/5, so obviously that wouldn't work! so we went over to the ticket window and i was just preparing myself for the worst - for the CM there to say that they were non-refundable and he couldn't do anything about it. but luckily after an explanation and some clarification, he traded out our tickets for the right night. i have no idea how the CM at MK the day before got the date mixed up, but he did!

i loved how the CMs were wearing halloween-themed clothes in purple, yellow, green, orange and black. it really set the mood! it was also really cool to see the costumes. it was the first party of the year so i wasn't sure if we should expect a lot of them or not, but there were quite a few people dressed up!

we had debated actually dressing up and our top pick was tweedle dee and tweedle dum. but we decided we didn't want to spend a lot of money on a costume in case we decided not to go to MNSSHP because of bad weather and we knew it would be hot and muggy in a costume during that time of the year. so the deeley-boppers it was!

the party actually "officially" started while we were on the carousel, which means it was right at 7:00. it was pretty cool - a very creepy voice came over the sound system announcing that the party was starting!

she was asking me what my costume was and i said something to the effect of, "um.....something between a disney fan with mickey mouse deeley-boppers and an evil queen." (my shirt said, "fit for an evil queen". erica bought it for me because i like the villians more than the princesses!) when she heard "evil queen" she immediately bowed to me and said, "please don't cut off my head." i told her she had nothing to worry about because she was one of my favorites. she asked me if i had seen the queen of hearts yet and i told her yes, that she was very nearby and she was asking me where. i was referring to the little girl in line behind us that was dressed as the queen of hearts and when alice realized that, she kind of broke character for a second and giggled and said, "wow....she really is close by!" she was a really good alice and i think one of the prettier alices i've seen!

the cheese sauce is back at the counter at cosmic rays? this is very exciting,

when were ther elast year, they told us they had taken it off and you had to now pay for it at the window because people were getting free cheese fries and not paying for it.

so what, i think that for 70+ dollars to get in they can give us some 50 cent cheese.
