I know this has been discussed before but wondered if anyone had an update:

* any good deals available anywhere, now that its been a few weeks?

* anyone know how much longer it will be for sale?

Suddenly DD would like it for Christmas :) so looking for the best deal.

TIA!

Lots of *views* of my post but no replies? :(

I would think one of the amazing DIS people would have an idea?

Please?

:)

Check Wal-Mart. Generally the videos/dvds are cheapest when they are first released but Wal-Mart has consistently lower prices.

If you can brave the day after Thanksgiving crowds, it looks like Toys R Us will have it for 12.99. Kmart will have it for the same price on Thanksgiving Day.

HTH! :sunny:

At KMart on Thanksgiving (NOT black friday) they will have it on sale for $12.99.

Usually Disney releases their DVDs for a few months, then stops producing but doesn't pull them from the shelves. All are released for a limited time, but not all are the same. For instance, Lion King was released on DVD in October of 2003 and not discontinued until January of 2005, while Snow White was released October of 2001 and discontinued January of 2002. Beauty and the Beast was out the same time frame as Snow White, and Peter Pan was released February of 2002, discontinued Jan 31st of 2003.

I'd predict that you could find Cinderella on the shelves in stores until AT LEAST the spring, probably later.

$12.99 is the best price you'll find it for though.

Thanks! Will they have any others?

I joined the disney DVD movie club and I got Cinderella, Pooh's Heffalump movie and one other one (I forget) free for joining. I just paid 5.97 for shipping. I buy the movies when they come out anyway so to me it was worth it. The costs of the DVD's aren't more than they cost in the store and you get three years to buy 3 or 4 DVD's. They always offer specials as well.

The movies came in less then two weeks. When I saw the package, I didn't even know what it was!!

I believe I saw that KMart will have the Tarzan movie on sale too. I've been keeping my eye out for that one. BTW..just a note, if you want the Tarzan movie, the Cinderella movie has a $3.00 off coupon in with all the other coupons they give you.

deepdiscountdvd.c o m has a 20% off sale running now through the 19th. I just ordered Cinderella from there for $17.27, no tax and free shipping. The code is DVDSALE and is good on just about everything on their site. :Pinkbounc

HTH!

Toys R Us and Kmart both have several on sale, as does best buy. I bought Madagascar the other day and it has j$3 off Shrek 2 and Shark Tale. We have Shrek 2, but I plan on getting Shark tale for $7.99 at one of the Black Friday sales (probably Toys'r'us) and using the $3 coupon, making it only $4.99. Too bad I don't have a coupon for Cinderella too! :Pinkbounc

Thank you everyone!

Looks like i'll be heading to k-mart t-giving day on the way to the in-loves! ;)

I really appreciate the replies!

:)

We purchased Cinderella when it was 19.99. Yesterday, I did manage to find Madagascar and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on sale at Walmart for 13.99. I probably won't be going out on Black Friday anyway so to save the hassle I just bought them.

Sorry, it's not Tarzan that they will have for sale- it's Tarzan 2. (reviews were NOT that good  )

The KMart Thanksgiving Disney DVD sale includes:
Cinderella
Tarzan 2
Aladdin
The Incredibles
Mulan 2
Bambi
Brother Bear (if you haven't seen it- I LOVE IT! bought it back during the $9.99 sale they had for the 50th anniversary)

They are all $12.99.

Like another poster, I'm a member of the DMC (Disney movie club). You have to buy 5 movies at regular price w/in 2 years. During sign up I got FOUR free movies plus one at 14.95 (counts as one towards commitment of 5) and one at 9.95. They offer all kinds of deals and also have exclusive DVDs not available in stores. I've figured out that I've spent less than $11 a DVD from the club. The DVDs in the club are more expensive than in stores, but if you wait for the special offers, it comes out cheaper (esp with getting free ones you get to begin with!).

I'm a member of the Disney Movie Club and can't find Cinderella on their site. Am I missing something?

You know how it takes them AT LEAST a month to get new DVDs up on the site? That still hasn't changed.

They only offer it as a freebie for joining. They don't offer it as available for members yet (although I don't mind- you can find it cheaper other places). I'm guessing it might be the next "Featured Title".

Try for KMart on Thanksgiving- WAY cheaper anyway (and at least you don't have to brave the Black Friday crowds for it!!) :flower:

I ordered mine from DeepDiscountDVD.com with the 20% off discount on 11/12 and I received it today :rotfl:

The expected shipping time is 5-10 days.

Total was $17.27

As stated in a previous post, NO TAX & FREE SHIPPING!

I plan on getting it at Circuit City on Black Friday for what I heard will be $8.99. There's also a $3 off coupon in Parents and Better Home and Garden magazines. So $5.99 + tax during the day after Thanksgiving sale.

I also plan to pick up Robots for $8.99. They also have Incredibles for $8.99, but I already have that one.

Wow, those are great prices. I'd like to get those too but don't know if I can tolerate those crowds. I mean I do crowds all the time but on BF, IMO Best Buy and Circuit City are by far the worst.

Anyone know if they'll be available on line for those prices?

I've scoured the BF deals site and can't find anything about Circuit City having these for sale. Where did you find this out??

They are shown in the scan of the ad but it appears that those prices are for web orders on Thanksgiving day.
