Cinderella Slipper Dessert

Yes, the castle can make the dessert. I would call ahead and inquire about getting it placed on your PS. Actually, I feel kind of bad. I think I was only charged $8.95 for it (which is what they quoted me when I called). Definitely get more than your monies worth.

That's great! Thank you for the info.

I'm thinking of doing either the slipper or the mini cake for our dinner at Grand Floridian at 1900 park fair. Can't decide!

Whichever one you pick will be great. I have heard both are really good quality and taste great. Good luck in the decision.

Thanks for all the great info. Yesterday I ordered a slipper and a dog bone dessert for our PS at 1900 Park Fare. This will be a surprise for my DD11 and DD8 - I can't wait to see the look on their faces when they bring them out :D ! I requested to have their names written on the plate. I was told they are each $14 and had to give a cc to hold this. This will not be charged unless we don't show up. We have 24 hrs to cancel.

I am so excited for our upcoming trip I can hardly stand it :hyper: ! Where did the time go??

I finally ordered two special desserts for our dinner at 1900 Park Fare November 1!

I've been reading all about them for months and was able to order the Choc Mickey statue and strawberries to be delivered to our BWV room for our August trip but now that we're eating at 1900 Park Fare for dinner this November trip, I can try their great special desserts!

I just got off the phone. I had to talk with the Bakery rather than 1900 Park Fare because I wanted one of those mini wedding cakes so they transferred me.

I ordered a mini wedding cake with the castle on top for $25 and then ordered the Cinderella slipper for $14. They each will have one of my DDs names on the plates.

I can't wait to see them and then eat them!!!

That's so cool that you can get the slipper at the castle. We went to CRT for a breakfast last December and they could not do it there at that time. They said only at the GF.

I'll have to check into it.

For those who are looking for another alternative, though - they made the most delicious cake for my daughter's birthday! It was white cake with strawberry filling and whipped cream "icing". They wrote "Happy Birthday Sky" on it in chocolate (or did that on a plate and peeled it off and set it atop the cake) :)

It was beautiful and my DD was SOOOOOO thrilled. Plus, it was SO delicious (and I worked at a top-notch bakery here for two years). :)

The chef there was awesome and more than accomodating - again, I had to leave a message and get a call-back, but everything was perfect when we arrived! :) (I think I did have to call and "remind" them the day before we left)

I called today to order a chocolate slipper dessert for afternoon tea. I was told that the cost would be $14 but this would be on an ordinary plate. I was informed to have it on a chocolate plate the cost would be an additional $40!!!! I was in shock. I thought the chocolate plate was included in the $14 cost. Needless to say..I only ordered it on a normal plate! I was told that I could have a 6inch white chocolate mickey for $14.
Has anyone else recently been told the chocolate plate was this expensive?

I only know of one person who got the chocolate plates but didn't pay extra...if you do a search, you'll probably find them easily. Maybe it was an accident that they got them.

LOL, you must be talking about me, since I seem to be the only who has gotten the white chocolate plates. ;) We didnt order them special, and didnt even know they existed. Since we got them right after the price increase, we sort of assumed that was why. But if they are charging $40.00 for the plates I guess not. :earseek: Wow! The plates were wonderful, but I cant imagine paying that for them. I guess we just got lucky. :D

Beattyfamily...I had already found it...didnt need to search! It was only after reading about the chocolate plates that I called and asked about them. Just cant believe the price they are charging!

Ive ordered a chocolate disc to have the slipper on...at the extra cost of $5

Now the big question...whats the difference between a disc & a plate? I wonder if the disc is what we got. This just gets more and more complicated. ;)

I am calling today to double check my order for the Slipper & the Dog Bones for next week. I will ask how they are presented and what options/costs are associated with them. We will get this settled once & for all :D !

no one in our family likes White Chocolate...those strawberries sound good...is there anywhere that lists a menu for the bakery with pics? The Mickey Mouse heads looked more our pace...wonder if you can order those alone...the dog bones look great but the creamy filling would throw our kids for a loop..we're strictly chocolate all the way...any ideas?

Tara

I asked if I could order the mickey heads and was told 'No'. Its a shame as i really like the look of them.

Hi eBlondie!

Gee, I sent the photo from Janet2k's party and asked for the slippers and Mickey Mouse heads and didn't hear "no." I haven't gotten confirmation, yet, but was told, "we should be able to do that for you." This is for dessert at Narcoossee's.

I'll let you know if/when I get confirmation.

Susan

MNSusan what price were you told for the mickey heads? Were you told you would be getting chocolate plates for the slipper?

I don't have any of that information yet, eblondie. I sent the photo, followed up to make sure they got it, and asked for a quote. I'll let you know as soon as I have more details.

I received the quote from the pastry chef at the Grand Floridian. It looks like Mickey Mouse head bombes are $15 each. Because the bombes and the slippers are part of a dessert tray that also includes a birthday cake and tuxedo strawberries, I don't expect the slippers will be on chocolate disks or plates.

Hope this helps.

I thought you could get the slipper delivered to your room if you were staying at a resort, or is it only available at GF?
