Is this still available for preorder through the cake hotline? We ordered this two years ago, and it was a hit with the kids. I would like to order it again. We have a California Grill reservation, so I think it could be sent there. We also have a reservation at Artist Point and BOG. Are those locations eligible, or just the restaurants in GF and the Contemporary (CRT is closed when we will be traveling)?

I just ordered one for my upcoming trip. You order it from the Cake line... It'll be the bakery for the Magic Kingdom && also the Contemporary & Grand Floridian resorts. You can't get it at the Artist Point, I'm not sure about BOG... I know for sure you can get it at the Royal Table, Cali Grill && the restaurants at the Grand. When you call they will have u leave a message of what you would like && ur contact info, they will email u all the info && u just email them back. You pay for the slipper when you arrive.

I wonder if you are using a dining plan if this will be considered part of your dinner meal points or if you have to pay extra?

If so, how much?

I was thinking today, it is a good thing I am on top of the whole research Disney stuff. I could see a disappointed little girl if I couldn't get her into Cinderellas table or BBB.

I feel for parents who think they can just show up at Disney and wing it.

No, of course not. It is not on any menu and it is a special order. It would be similar, on a larger scale, to glow cubes. They are not on the DDP either.

I believe there is a chance you could get the slipper at Artist Point as the Contemporary Pastry team services WL too. If that option works best for you, I would follow the instructions on the cake chatter thread here for ordering a cake at WL but ask for the slipper instead. THey may say no, but it is worth a shot.

1) The Slipper is available at GF eateries and CRT.
2) I have not heard of any other eatery getting it.
3) It is meant as an exclusive to draw customers.
4) I guess you can call and ask, but don't feel bad if answer is "No".

NOTE: Although CRT is closed, you can still get the Princess Meal (Bfast/Lunch) at Citricos.

We order it every trip for CRT but last November when we got it, it was much smaller and the pastry it was on was tiny!

I have been very seriously considering ordering this for my next CRT visit. However, since I'm on the DDP, which will come with a dessert, it doesn't really seem like a great idea to also pay extra for another dessert. Shame, because it looks AMAZING. I might change my mind between now and then and get it anyhow, though. :lmao: So I'm glad somebody asked this, now I know how to go about ordering it should I decide to get crazy and splurge. :thumbsup2

The pastry is no longer even on the CRT version at all. We had both the chocolate slipper and crown a few weeks ago. It looked just like the photo on Lurkyloo's website: http://disneytravelbabble.com/how-to/order-cake/basic-disney-cake-photos/

With all due respect to Rusty, the slipper is/was available at the Contemporary from the photos I have seen.

We were on the DxDDP but still ordered it as a birthday treat for me and surprise for my DS. They still brought dessert for us - I had cheesecake and it was tiny, as were all the portions. I wouldn't worry about it too much if it is what you want to do.
