i have booked my first adrs but came across a problem i was intending to just book my :hmghost: wife and 2 youngest in the crt breakfast but i could not do this by credit card if i was not there,my :hmghost: wife does not have a card (for obvious reasons )so i will have to go.my 3 eldest and i were going off to have breakfast elsewhere but now i have booked them into the crystal diner so they are in the same place as us.the food is supposed to be better in the crystal is this correct, that was my idea of sending them there but am now wondering if i should have gone for 7 in crt.what do you think eldest are twins 19 and one of 15

You wouldn't have to go to CRT even if you used your Credit Card to "book" it- it just guarantees the reservation for you. The people going would be able to pay by another method.

i booked it the other night and got the impression i had to go so i am now listed,as my name was not in the party they could not take a credit card booking, either they were :confused3 or i was,i will leave it as it is i think i have some more to do later so i will query it then, :thumbsup2

weall really enjoyed CP last time, the food is fantastic especially "breakfast lasagne" and those cute character waffles, really bright and airy a great start to the day IMO, the characters were gentle and playfull my kids (6 and 2) loved it!

Can't yet speak from experience but when I was weighing these two up I heard mostly bad things about CRT and mostly good about CP so we went with the latter.

I think Crystal palace is the more relaxed atmosphere and the food was better. With CRT you are paying for the experience and the "royalty", everyone should do it once though as I will always treasure the memory of it. having said that, I did do it when it was a lot cheaper ;)

You are right - if you book CRT you have to be on the reservation. I tried to book it for a friend that does not have a credit card but I was not allowed to ...

This practice was put in place under the old 90 day rule, as the CRT was so much harder to get (and more popular as it was cheaper), and people off various Disney discussion boards were deliberately booking meals they did not want and then passing them onto others on these boards and/or possibly Ebay ?

thanks for that i thought i was a bit  well i probably am but not about this, its understandable i suppose thanks :thumbsup2

I seem to remember a while ago there was a lot of trouble with people 'block booking' CRT, and then selling on the reservations - becasue it was so popular. I guess they insist on the person making the booking with a credit card to be in the party to stop this :)

sorry but does anybody have the number to ring for crt reservations?

It's the same number as for all WDW dining reservations:

001 (from the UK) 407 939 3463

Have fun :)
