I am thinking of getting a dress for my two years old's birthday trip to CRT breakfast (turning 3). Should I wait until I get to WDW to buy one, or should I order one from Disney Direct? ( She is just enchanted by the new DVD and I am so thankful I made the reservation "just in case".)

I did get her a Snow White one from Walmart but it is very big on her and it is the smallest they make. Do the Disney Direct ones close with velcro on the back too?

Thanks.

If cost is a factor, the dresses at WDW cost roughly $60.

I got my DD a Cinderella dress online at DIsney Direct.

We got this dress at World of Disney and it was about 60.00. It was nice but I don't know about 60.00 nice. This year I bought one of the Halloween costume ones. I cannot remember whether it had velcro back or not. My daughter said it was itchy and took it off as soon as we got in the car.

I would order through Disney or go to a Disney Store in the mall to get one before you go. They are much cheeper then at WDW and nice quality, not rough like the ones from Target, Walmart, ect..
I was just at our Disney Store a couple of days ago and they had them marked down 25% already!

I got my DD through Disney Direct. The cost of the dress was $16 ( I think, I've had it a few weeks). The crown, shoes, and wand were all separate. Sometimes you can get a code for discounts on total or shipping. Check budget board for that info. Good luck!

If your daughter dresses up alot like mine, I would consider splurging on one at WDW. I just ordered 2 Cinderella coronation gowns ($95 each) from the World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney for our upcoming trip. They will be wearing theirs to my disney girl's perfectly princess tea party. They dress up everyday after school so this extra special souvenir will be worth it, i think... The ones at the disney stores in the malls are nice but in my opinion, the ones sold at WDW are better and not just the $95 ones, the $60 and up are all good quality. If your duaghter will be wearing it throughout the park, then the mall disney store dresses are probably best.

My girls have dresses from the Disney store and from WDW. They range in sizes from 2/3 thru 7/8 been thru 2 children and are still in good shape. They wear them practically everyday!!! Needless to say they have been thru alot and are still in great shape! Disney store only has one dress per princess and WDW has a couple for Cindy. Depends on what you want to spend. Mine were worth the investment they are on the second DDand still look great! Then I pass them onto my Niece and she is wearing them.

Thanks for everyones help. Here in Canada we do not always get the same stuff that I see people talking about on the boards, especally at Walmart. There are no Disney Stores in Quebec so I can't go and take a look at the quality. (I will use everyone's opinions from the boards)

I think I will go ahead and order one from Disney Direct and then when we are down at Christmas take a look at the other ones and see if she shows any interest.

Beachwarmer--you might check ebay, if not for the dresses, then at least for the accessories. My neighbor has twin girls that she bought Belle and Cinderella dresses for Halloween (they are 3 1/2). She bought the dresses and shoes on Ebay and saved lots! Just be sure to check the condition of the item, but I bet a lot of these dresses are worn once or twice and that's it.

Good luck!

Im not sure when you are going, but if you wait until the day after Halloween you can get a great deal at The Disney Store or The Disney Store online. I got my DD princess: 4 of them last year at the store the day after Halloween and gave them to her for Christmas. She now has plenty of them to choose from to take to Disney this November. (we already had about 5 before I bought more)

I would order from Disney Direct. They're all on sale now too. The dresses in Disney world ar ebeautiful but very expensive, unless you don't mind spending that. The ones from Disney Direct are just as pretty and more reasonable. princess:

Ebay has light up Cinderellla dresses! The skirt lights up and they are so cool!!! I think they average around $50.00. :cool1:
