Cinderella Dinner at GF? Comments?

I was wondering what the reviews are like for the new Cinderella dinner at the Grand Floridian? I tried the search feature, but it didn't seem to be working.
Who has gone and how was it? My dd3 LOVES Cinderella and her castle. Breakfast would be the ultimate, but I'm not willing to fight for the PS. (we had our chance last yr and declined )
I'm thinking now about seeing Cinderella for dinner instead. Was the food adequate? Was the Character interaction good?
Any comments are welcome.

I had read mixed reviews here, more bad to be honest in my interpretations. Anyways, it was the only way were were going to be able to see Cinderella since we planned our trip too late to try for Cindy's breakfast. So... we went! It was AWESOME! The best of all 4 character meals we did. The fairy Godmother was sitting in the lobby for autographs and pictures. She ws a doll of a lady! My 6yo DD (the cinderella freak) had lost a tooth that day and the FG told her that she would jingle her wand and and give her sister TINKERBELL a ring to let her know where we were staying and to be sure to make a special visit. Alli was THRILLED! Cinderella(a doll) and Prince Charming(sort of cute) DID come table to table. They spent plenty of time signing the autograph books and posing for photos. Cinderella even posed for a picture with DH alone, then kissed him on his cheek and left kissy prints! Alli again was hysterically happy! The mice Suzy and Perla were there... also dolls! They sat on the floor and held my 5 month old for pictures.
Food was INCREDIBLE! Best lasagna I have ever had in my life! Prime rib was wonderful... they had well to rare done for anyone's taste. The Children's bar was OK... mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, etc... but the kids are not there to eat! Try the Strawberry Soup... it was cute. The FG came up tp me and said... DON'T YOU JUST LOVE PINK FOOD! She also told my girls that she grew all "those" vegtables in her magical garden...addressing the gummy bears and marshmallows and M&M's on their cupcakes. It really was wonderful! I would advise going! I am slowly downloading my pictures, so if you would like me to email them to you... email me at:

We ate here on Saturday 2/15 and were not too impressed. We got there at 8:30 for our 8:40 PS time and had to wait until almost 9 before we were seated. The characters were okay, though they never spent too much time at any table. We were the last seating of the night and it could have been that they just were anxious to leave. The food was not that great. To kids it really doesn't matter since those chicken nuggets are pretty much the same everywhere, but the regular bar did not have very good food. The strawberry soup was gone when I went up and they said no more would be out. Also, the prime rib was only very rare. When I asked for a more cooked piece the server just took the next slice, which was just as rare as the first. Also, a lot of the food seemed to have been laying out for awhile since it looked old and was slightly cold. I think it's worth going to if you have kids who love Cinderella, but I think i'd definitely try to make a PS for the first seating since it might be better than the last seating we had.

We went to this dinner as well. Cinderella and Prince Charming were in the lobby for a meet and greet. The Fairy Godmother (very nice) and mice went from table to table. At one point we couldn't get "rid" of the purple mouse! LOL Just kidding but that mouse was with us an awful lot. If it was Cinderella that would have been different.....that was ok though.

The kids food was ok. Just like anywhere else. I thought the one side of the buffet was better than the other for the adults. There were different entrees on each side and better tastes on one side IMHO. The caesar salad was the worst I have ever had! Disappointing. The mushroom soup however was great! Aside from that I like the food better than my husband did.

The entire feel of 1900 Park Fare is very nice so take or leave the food. Everyone can find at least one thing that they like. If you can not get "into" CRT and your child loves Cinders then this is I guess the next best thing. Good luck.

Thanks so much for your responses. A&M Mom. You're reply makes me want to book PS's right away. On the otherhand, Justthat, makes it sound like the best idea is to eat earlier. (which we would HAVE to do--DH gets very cranky when his tummy is rumbling! )
We stayed at GF for our last trip but didn't eat there. I think it would be fun to eat there this trip. I'd love to hear more about this dinner if anyone has additional info to offer.
Wilderness, we ate at Crystal Palace last trip and I was not all that impressed with the character interaction. Once by (for a VERY brief visit) and that was it! Perhaps they should add the Purple Mouse to CP's characters!

We went on January 19th and were less than impressed. The food was just average--at best. The only characters circulating were Suzy, Perla, and the Fairy Godmother (who was great!). Cinderella and the Prince were in the lobby only. That being said, if you have a DD that loves Cindy and you don't want to deal with all the CRT hoopla, this is a good opportunity to meet her. I hope this helps.
