If I eat dinner at Cinderella's Castle, can I see the fireworks from my table?

Which meal is better--breakfast, lunch, or dinner??

It depends on where your table is. Tables by the windows can; however, they usually turn the lights down so you can see the flashing lights from any table. You can also hear the Wishes well.

PLEASE don't do dinner. It was honestly the worst meal I had on my vay-cay (or at all in the last year, actually). Horrible service, undercooked meat, soup came out before drinks, etc. I've heard great things about the character breakfast tho!

Sorry you had a bad dinner there. However, our dinner (trip taken in Dec 2005) was great! :confused3

I'd heard that only the fairy godmother is there for that but that Cinderella still signs autographs downstairs. Does anyone know if that's true. We have a 2 year old cinderella fan who'd love to see her but didn't book ADRs early enough to get some quality time at a meal. I believe there were a couple of dinner times left though and thought it might be a good option...

Unfortunately, I have to agree with this post ... I was *so* looking forward to this in Sep 2006. I was disappointed in dinner. I ordered some sort of pork chop and it was awful. It had congealed gravy on top that was definitely under some sort of heat lamp. My husband had some sort of beef dish, and his was okay.

I'm not a picky eater, and even though I'm a food snob, I'm fair.

Just my $.02

Dinner in the castle is our favorite thing to do. It's not the full fireworks show, but you can see quite a bit from inside. In our experience in the past, they dim the lights, the music is pumped in, and kids (maybe adults? didn't notice) are allowed to come and gather around the windows. DH and I were sitting by the windows, but were not bothered by the kids sitting on the ground.

Honestly, it's my most memorable experience in WDW, period.

...and we love the food.

We just had dinner there a few weeks ago. The Fairy Godmother, Perla, and Suzy were the only ones who came to the dinner. They sang and did some dancing. It was cute. Cinderella is downstairs signing autographs and the dinner does come with a picture package. Since we were a party of 6 we got 2 picture packages. :cheer2: We let our youngest have their pictures taken with Cinderella. The packages we got came with 4 5x7, 1 8x10, and 1 8x10 picture of the castle.

It was great to say we ate in the castle. My steak was undercooked, but I also only ordered it medium, instead of medium well. My husband loved his grilled salamon. Next time, we will try breakfast. We had a great time!

Anyone do lunch there... Any help there... and reviews... We have our CRT Ressie for lunch.... :)

Could you please tell what food you had that was good or not so good so we can be thinking about what to order... Thanks so much!

It was the lamb we had that was really inedible. I forgot exactly what I had, it was some sort of meat that came with couscous, and it wasn't good either...
The corn and crab soup was pretty good, as was the chocolately dessert :-)
The best was definitely the pretzel bread that they put on the table and the yummy butter mmm...

Hmmm. Usually the meat at Disney is overcooked for my taste....of course I like my steak brown on each side.:confused3 I order it medium rare most places, but have to order rare at WDW.

I really like dinner at Cindy's. I liked it better before they had the pre-set menu. We never miss dining at the Castle. This trip we will have lunch and dinner there.:goodvibes

I asked my 7 year old daughter during our last trip if she could change anything when we went back. She said, "Mom, can we eat lunch at the Castle instead of dinner? I cannot see the fireworks"

You cannot see the fireworks from the castle. You can hear them if everyone is fairly quiet. To be honest I think everyone should do dinner there at least once in their life just to say they have done it. Although, if you have other oppurtunities to go to WDW again I would do another meal.

Is it possible to get an early enough ressie that dinner would be over BEFORE Wishes started? So that you could get back outside the castle and get a spot further down main street to see the fireworks? My kids loved Wishes the first (and only) time we saw it and I'm sure would not want to be eating through it.

You can get dinner reservations early enough to finish dinner and then make to the fireworks. We were just never lucky enough to get ADR's that early even when I booked 180 days in advance.

Not sure if the food is exactly the same as two years ago, but between us we had the salad and the soup, and the steak and pork tenderloin. I think the time before that, DH had the salmon and I had a veggie dish that doesn't appear to be on the menu.

I know that the price puts off some people, but $40 each is what DH and I expect to spend on a three course meal any night that we go out. We look at it as actually saving money because there's no wine to be had. For us, the money spent and the food quality is equal to what we expect on a normal night out.

I'm thinking with the fireworks question, it depends on what you consider 'seeing the fireworks' to be. If I'm in Frontierland in line for BTMRR and I catch glimpses of fireworks, I consider that to be seeing them. I'm the kind of person who would rather experience a quiet and uncrowded moment with the fireworks as part of the atmosphere. I don't really care about seeing the full show from the hub or main street. For me seeing the fireworks from inside the castle is just magical, and I feel like a princess when it happens. I don't feel like a princess when I'm watching fireworks from the crowd on main street. If you want the full show, then you won't see anything near enough to please you during dinner there.

Please understand, I'm giving my opinion as someone who doesn't have kids.

Yes, we had our dinner at 5:30. It was nice to eat dinner and to be done in time for Wishes.pixiedust:

We did lunch there in November and we loved it. The characters we saw were: Cinderella (downstairs), Belle, Aurora, Jasmine, and Snow White. I have heard that only the Fairy Godmother was there for dinner, but if you call Disney dining they will tell you for sure. You definately would not be able to see the fireworks, since your view from the dining room is out of the back of the castle over Fantasyland. My husband wasn't crazy about the food, but I thought it was better than any other table service in the Magic Kingdom (and he's also a picky eater).
