Cinderella castle vs Akershus

Which one to you recommend for character dining?
We have a 4yr old and a baby.

We usually do both. Character interaction is comparable, but the food and atmosphere, IMO, are better at the Castle.
Either way, have a wonderful trip.

Yes I have to agree food is better at CRT. Our first was askerhaus and it was wonderful interaction with the characters ...my dd was only 14 months old. It was a little less money than crt. If you are not going to be making this WDW trip again in the near future..CRT is the better of the two.

In all honesty, the only thing better about CRT than Akershus, in my opinion, is that you are eating in Cindy's castle. It is worth experienceing, once. And all you are really paying for is that experience of eating in the castle. We personally like the food at Akershus better. If you are looking to make yourself a budget are paying OOP for meals, Akershus is less expensive. If you are planning on using a dining plan and are budgeting your TS credits, CRT is 2 TS credits while Akershus is 1 TS credit. We have had pretty good character interaction at both, so we don't take the characters into consideration when compairing the 2.

If you are making your decision based on the experience, go with CRT. If you are looking to base it on food or price, go with Akershus.

We did both for breakfast. Food, character interaction & atmosphere was good at both. I would do CRT at least once, just to say I've done it. I really enjoyed the feeling of dining in the castle & the wishing ceremony.

We have eaten at the Castle once, and I am glad we did it, but Akershus was much better. We like the food selection better (more to choose from), plus there is so many more princesses.

Food isn't great at either.

Cindy's is waaaay overpriced - either in dining credit or cash.

Character interaction was better at Ak in my opinion - not as crowded or rushed.

Only plus to Cindy's is being in the castle, a fine experience, but honestly once inside I'm not sure the kids are registering that they are in the Castle, especially at your kids ages.
