Cinderella Castle Playset

Does anyone own the playset (the one sold at WDW)? Is there only one? I saw one when we were there last month and should have bought it!! Now, my girls are asking for this for Christmas. Can I still get it through WDW? Thanks.

Does anyone know how much it costs for the castle? I saw them when we were there, but I didnt look as all I have is my ds, but now we are home and he keeps asking to go back. Every time he sees a picture of the castle he gets excited. (We were just at target, and were walking to the car and I said lets go to Tavian's house, and he just looked at me so seriously and said. NO! MICKEYS HOUSE. He thinks that mickey lives in the castle). So now I am considering it for christmas, just to make his little eyes light up.

The Disney World Castle, Cinderella's is around $60.00, with the new 50th Disneyland, Sleeping Beauty that lights up, costs $65.00.

They each come with different characters. We bought it last year, and carried it on the plane with us. (Note to self: pay the $8.95 shipping next time, don't carry big stuff on the plane)

We bought ours on our November trip last year and "Santa brought it"

It has all of the princesses and their respective beaus and my DD3 loves it!! Still a year later, it has a prominent place in her room and she and my son play with it... lighting it up and having "parties"

I think it is well worth the money... considering I paid almost $200 for the stupid kitchen for Christmas the year before and they NEVER play with that!!!

Right now there are two, one is cinderella's and one is a 50th anniversary Sleeping Beauty. The cinderella is larger and comes with more pieces and is a much better deal. We bought the Cinderella last year and gave it to them for Christmas, they have yet to stop playing with it!

It opens, plays music, has secret passageways has about 30 figurines inside, has light up trees and plants. They really love playing with it!

Myparents got it for my dd last year for her birthday. She too, still plays with it and we are going to add to it each year with a new piece. We have the Cindrella castle. I like it better than the Sleeping Beauty one.

My parents got this for my dd last year while we were having our family Christmas celebration in WDW. My dd would probably still play with it if she hadn't scattered all the parts to the four winds and buried the castle under everything else in her room. We're in the midst of an excavation and I bet when she discovers it again it will be much loved. If only we manage to reunite the pieces with it.

Anyway, its a pretty cool toy. Some of the stuff lights up. But there are a lot of pieces, so if that tends to be an issue in your family it might be a toy to avoid. I've determined that my kids shouldn't have toys with multiple pieces until they can keep track of them on their own!

I just bought one at Wal-Mart for $24.95. I'm sure it isn't the same as the one sold at WDW, but it is nice. About two years ago, I purchased one at a garage sale for $2 and my granddaughters have had hours and hours of fun with it. They are slightly different. The figures are about the size of Polly Pockets. They both have lights and open up. Also at Wal-Mart, I got Cinderella's Carriage to go with it -- $14.95. They had a special display with all the Cinderella toys for the DVD release.

I didn't even notice this while at WDW last week, but evidently dd did. I'm surprised she didn't say something about it at the time. It's all that she has talked about since we got home. Since we'll be at WDW again over Christmas, I guess we'll be buying a castle.

Can't wait for it to arrive. I was going to buy it when we were there but since we drive up we had no room in the care for it to fit!

My DD9 still plays with hers and she got it in 2003 we went. She loves it. It is definately worth the money!

Is their a website to go to that I can look at the castle? I'd like to have a look at it and see if it is the same one I vaguely remember when visiting two years ago. My dd's would love a Cinderella castle!!

We bought one of those smaller ones from Toys R Us and it had a "briiing" charm like sound that you could do by moving the middle floor. Well, after a while the darn thing would just "briiing" in the middle of the night when the cat walked by or if you just happened to have any movement. It began to drive us nuts. We had a garage sale in the summer and it was discreetly packed away into a big ziploc baggie and sold No one even remembers it!!

I thik it depends on the child really. If you can trust your two year old with small pieces then I think it would be fine, my youngest has been playing with it since she was two. I think three would ideally be about right though.
