Hi! I don't normally post over here as my craft doesn't lend itself to Disney crafts too much as I make wedding cakes. But today I made a special cake for my daughters who are in Cinderella the play at their school tomorrow. So here is how I spent my Saturday:

That is so cute! I could not imagine the time it took to get that right. It looks great and I am sure they just loved it.

Great job!

Wow! What a great cake. I would have a hard time cutting into. My girls would love that cake.

WOW!!! That is really awesome. Is Cindy & the mice cake too, or fondant/chocolate?

Cinderella's dress is a rice krispie treat I molded into a dress shape. Her body is fondant. The turrets are krispie treats too. Then everything else is fondant. I make my own fondant out of melted marshmallows, so there are a lot of melted marshemallows on that cake with all the krispie treats & fondant!

Because I carved the hill from a cake and Cinderella is in front, it is hard to tell that this cake serves 200! My plan is to take the castle off the hill (it's on cardboard) & cut the hill up first & serve it. Cause nobody minds eating a hill, right?

Hmmm, how long? Probably 1-2 hours on the characters (dh helped with that, he loves creative stuff too so we made it a family project.) Then 4-5 hours baking (that includes the baking.) So not too bad for that part. THe labor intensive part took about 6 hours. Maybe 7. We ate it today. It took under 5 minutes for me to rip it to shreds & the kids to devour it. They LOVED it!!!!

That looks awesome! My daughter would love that too.

I always have a rough time making my cakes. I've been sticking to making cupcakes lately.

That is gorgeous! or was. lol

Everyone must have loved it.
