Cinderella and Prince Charming Celebrate Their 1 Year Anniversary TR!

We are only 30 days away!!! :cheer2:

I called the Disney Dining number this morning and made our PS for Blue Bayou. I made it for Sept. 17th (the day we get there) at 5:30. It will just be Jason and I eating there. Jaime wants to use her time to see as much of the park as possible since she will only be there for the one day. Linda thought she might be too tired after traveling all morning so she opted out as well. This is just fine as that day is actually our 5 year dating anniversary! I can't believe we've known each other for 5 years now! It seems like a long time ago, but also like yesterday. Does that make sense?

So the plan for the first day is this:
-Get to the park around 11
-Buy tickets and get our season passes
-Take some pics of the 4 of us in front of the castle as this is the only time we will be here together this trip
-Ride rides until around 3
-Go back to the room, nap, shower and get ready for the evening
-Meet up with Linda and Jaime at UVA bar around 4 or 4:30, have some drinks and celebrate being here finally!!
-Head into the park around 5
-Blue Bayou at 5:30
-Meet back up with Linda and Jaime after dinner and stay at the park until it closes at 8

That's it for now! :goodvibes

One week closure... Man I can't wait for this trip. Showed mom the itinerary online and she loved it. I also introduced her to disboards, hidden mickeys, and mouse planet. She loved it all. Now she checks them as often as possible!

I found another shirt on the internet today, it was so funny I had to get it.

If you don't get it, you never watched Ducktales! It was my favorite growing up. Better then Talespin, and Rescue Rangers. I'll wear it down there. I guarantee it!

:woohoo: You're getting there!

Thought about you guys this weekend with the fire in Auburn. It was literally just up the hill form my grandparents house and they had to evacuate. A very nerve-racking day yesterday was for us.

We are ok, We are are a little south of the blaze right next to 80 on 49. So we were never evacuated or anything. But it was still very scary. If wind patterns had changed who know. Today the wife and I are taking supplies down to salvation army to help those who lost their home. Very sad, but we'll help anyway we can.

We are only 16 days away!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I am so excited to leave; I can almost smell POTC from here! Things have been kinda crazy around here lately and the days have been flying by. My first day of school was on Monday so I'm busy trying to get my reading and assignments done. I don't want to be doing school work in Disneyland!! That being said, I am really enjoying all my reading and homework so far and can't wait to get into the classroom to start my student teaching! :teacher:

I got another shirt for each of us to wear in Disneyland so I'll try to take some pictures tonight and post them so you all can see. :)

Thank you for thinking about us. We were just fine although in such a small town something like this affects us all. I just feel so bad for all the families who lost their homes. I hope your grandparents and their home are ok. :)

We got some shirts on sale from disneystore.com. Again, all for a grand total of $15 - I love sales!! :goodvibes

I can't wait, we've been looking forward to this for months and by this time next week we'll be buying our AP's and heading over to adventureland! In preparation for our trip me and family went down to State Fair here in order to practice all the walking we would have to do and we had a great time.

We saw an f-16

An old time steam tractor that sounded exactly like the train in Disneyland. I guess because both run on stream!

All in all a great day at the state fair, but it nothing close to the real thing. But now we are in shape for the big trip! Stay Tuned!

I can't believe we are 1 WEEK AWAY!!!! :cheer2::cheer2:

To celebrate being so close to our Disneyland vacation Jason and I are going to make Mickey Mouse pancakes tonight for dinner. We'll probably watch a Disney movie too. If any pancake pictures are worthy I'll post them tonight - I don't know how talented I'll be at flipping them! :)

And in other news...we are 4 days away!!! :cool1::yay:

I'm packing up the car right now! I'm so excited, I'm picking Jackie up at 430 and driving down to my parents house for dinner. Then its off to D-land bright and early at 4 am tomorrow! I can't wait, its finally happening! :woohoo:

Just got back, a trip to remember! More to follow when I get Time !

As everyone knows we've been waiting for this trip for quite awile not and let me tell you it did not disappoint! It was a truly magical trip to the happiest place on earth and Jackie and I both believe that it ranks as one of the best trips to D-land we have ever taken. So without further ado our trip report for September of 2009!
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

It all started on Wednesday at 4pm that is when I left our apartment here in auburn to pick up Jackie at our work which was great news for Jackie because she had sorta a rough day. The way she put it is that after two days of nothing to do all of a sudden all kinds work came flowing in. So she was in mad dash mode to get it done, so by the time I got there to pick her up she was frazzled but I had the perfect tonic for that, a trip to Disneyland! So we started driving down to my parents house to have a combined birthday party for me and my sister because my birth was on Saturday and hers was on Sunday and neither of us were going to be home for it. So when we got to my parents house it was time to party!
9134_571248057450_29906117_33610487_5117000_n.jpg

My father made his world famous (in his head) steak and fettuccine and it was delicious then we all ate the cupcakes jackie and made the night before, it was awesome.
9134_571248062440_29906117_33610488_3663084_n.jpg

While all of this was going on we had POTC on in the background which really helped put us in the mood for the next day. And we had to open our presents!
9134_571248067430_29906117_33610489_690304_n.jpg

After we finished up our dinner and desert we hung our and talked about the trip yet to come but not for too long though because we had to get up early the next morning for the long drive ahead. We all headed to bed and said our goodbyes to my dad because he could not go and he would not be up at 4am when we leave, but don't feel too bad for him he is NOT the Disney fan like we are so he is perfectly happy staying behind. So off to bed we went with dreams of the park in our head...

Good update babe!! I concur that this really was a fantastic trip and it will be very hard to top it. From the drive down, to the time in the parks, Jason's birthday and even just hanging out in the room - it was all a blast. We are all already counting down the days until we get back!!! :goodvibes

We have our heading....

Per our tradition we got up really early for an extra day in the park. We also needed to get there as fast as possible because my sister only had one day to spend in the park. So we got up at 330 and left at 4am. We hit the road and I started to drive all my ladies down to Anaheim. Its about a 6 and half hour drive and it goes by just fine. One of the memorable moments was when we were in the valley and the sun just peaked over the mountains so we put on the circle of life from lion king. We re-created the opening scene just for us! But after that is just a normal ride down. All the ladies were able to sleep at one point or another so I was able to drive the whole way down which I like to do because I'm so excited I can't sleep anyway and I love to drive. Also we passed several landmarks which I love to see.
Like the pipes!
9134_571385157700_29906117_33614515_5826924_n.jpg

And Pyramid Lake!
9134_571292722940_29906117_33611696_1288081_n.jpg

Of course we made great time until we hit LA! That is when we hit LA traffic but oh well you can't really do anything about that. So we got to our hotel around 1045. This time we stayed at the Camelot inn and Suites, we had stayed there before so there we knew what we were getting. :)
9134_571293271840_29906117_33611705_3418417_n.jpg

And after this trip and previous trips we decided that it is our favorite place to stay because it is so close and the service is great. Plus the room is the perfect size especially when we decide to share a room with my mom. When we go back we'll try and stay there again. So we checked in and our room was already ready! But no time to get our stuff in our room we needed to get into the park as fast as we could! So we parked our car and head over as fast as possible. My sister got her one day park pass and my mom jackie and I picked up the best thing any Disneyland fan could get... Annual Passes! It was fantastic my mom was especially touching because she recanted the story about her being a small girl in central Pennsylvania and watching Walt every sunday night discuss his park and thinking she would never get a chance to go and now she has an annual pass! It was touching. So we passed the gate and went into the park and went and did our other tradition making the left into adventureland and fastpassing indy and going on POTC. After that we took the chance to ride the Jungle Cruise always a favorite.

9134_571386549910_29906117_33614534_7123200_n.jpg

After that we still had time before our fastpasses matured so we went over to Fantasyland to do as many dark rides as possible. we did Peter Pan first because surprising the line was not bad. We then did Alice, pinocchio, snow white, but we missed Mr Toad because the line was longer then usual it was strange. Oh well, we then hit up Indy for our passes. It never disappoints, its my favorite ride bar none and would not be the last time we rode it this trip. After that we all decided it was time for a rest so we went back to the room the unpack our stuff.

up next... BACK TO THE PARK!

I just had to post because DH and I were there Sept 17-20th celebrating our 11th anniversary, married on October 3, 1998!! I used to go to Yosemite all the time growing up, and now DH and I take the kids every few years. Just thought that was funny that we share the same anniversary date (off by 10 years) and that we were there at the same time! :goodvibes
