Cinderella and Prince Charming Celebrate Their 1 Year Anniversary TR!

So! We dropped off our stuff in the room and took a quick rest and then headed back towards the park, but seeing as none of us had any lunch yet we had an awesome idea lets go to lunch at ESPN zone! OMG I was so happy, it is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in Downtown Disney and a awesome place to unwind before head back into the park. Part of the reason I like it so much is that I am the biggest sports fan you'll find and the screening room with its 14 screens is the so awesome. What was even better was the fact we were able to get a booth there which is really hard to do because normally it is so busy. Now for those of you that don't know what is so special about the booths in this room I'll clue you in. These booths have small HD flat screens that you can change the channel with a touch. Not only that, the booths have there own surround sound system that keys in on whatever channel your choose. Needless to say I was in heaven!

We all had a fantastic lunch, and some lovely refreshments!

After that we headed back into the park, when we got through the gates my mom had one of her classic hurry up and take a picture moment but it turned out to be a great one!

Hey you two, I haven't been on here for awhile! Wow, you're back already. Glad you had a great time. Looks good so far. Aww, your pics of the drive down totally remind me of our trip.

We liked ESPN too, and we sat in a booth, but no private tv But it was pretty busy.

My Jason also LOVES Indy.

I'll pick up where Jason left off last; we are heading back to the park after an excellent lunch at ESPN Zone. After taking some pictures in Main Street we decide to head over to Fantasyland again. The lines were still a little too long and someone *ahem* ME *ahem* came up with the brilliant idea to go on It's a Small World! We haven't seen it since they updated it with the characters and I must say we all LOVED the changes!!! We weren't sure what we would think going in, but they were added so tastefully they seemed to fit right in. Here are some pictures:

After that I decided that I needed a little break and Jason needed a nap. So he and I went back to the room where I showered up and he napped. Before leaving the park we got a picture of just the two of us in front of the entrance.

Next up - Our Anniversary dinner at the Blue Bayou - excellent or disastrous?

I'm glad you like our dual reporting! I haven't really seen it anywhere else on the boards, but I think it's nice to get both of our memories from the trip.

So, tomorrow is our 1 year anniversary!! I have no idea where the time has gone, everything has flown by so fast. We are headed up to South Lake Tahoe to celebrate so I'll try to get a review of BB and a post for the rest of our 1st evening but I make no promises!! Packing can be challenging! It's going to be pretty cold when we are up there and they are even calling for snow. Jason is so thrilled. He hates the heat and can't wait to be cold again.

Happy Anniversary. I love Tahoe. Im planning a few trips with my dd, my brother's wifes family has a cabin up there. So nice to have it just 3 hours away. not too bad. HA wish Disneyland was that close.

Thanks! We just love Tahoe. South Lake is about 2 hours away for us and we ski almost every weekend in the winter and Heavenly. So much fun! It would be nice if Disneyland was that close, but then the drive wouldn't be that fun.

So, it's finally time to tell you about our Blue Bayou experience. We walked back from the hotel and headed over to the BB. We checked in and they actually wished us happy anniversary (that day was the 5 year anniversary of when we started dating)! We asked for a table next to the water in the middle and they said it would be 20 to 30 minutes. We said no problem and went to wait over by the door to Club 33 since it was pretty crowded in the lobby.

While we were waiting we started chatting with a very nice man, his wife and their two children. We clued them in on requesting a seat by the water so they went to go ask for that and were told the same wait time as us. So we passed some time talking to them about their experiences on Disney cruises and WDW. Apparently we had too much fun talking to them because we completly missed our name being called! The family who we were talking with got seated first and they checked in after us. Jason finally went to ask when we would be seated and the very rude lady at the desk said they had already called our name. We said that we hadn't heard her and had been in the lobby the whole time (the lady that was seating people practically whispered names aloud - we saw her have to go to the front desk twice because people hadn't heard her and she needed the party pointed out to her). For some reason, the lady at the front desk hadn't pointed us out to her even though we were only standing 10 feet away!!! So, Jason asked how long it would be before we could get a table since we had missed our name being called the first time. The lady completly ignores him and starts taking a reservation for a family for tomorrow night!! Well, we were pretty upset that she would just ignore Jason like that after we had been waiting for 40 minutes. We were starving and decided just to go and get some snacks and meet back up with Jaime and Linda. So we grabbed our stuff, left the BB without ever getting past the lobby and eating and met up with Linda and Jaime in Fantasyland. We rode Alice and then wandered our way towards Main Street.

I grabbed a pretzel which Jason and I split. We did a little shopping because Jaime wanted to by a couple of gifts for her friends and then headed back to the hotel. Jaime called a taxi to take her to the airport. Linda, Jason and I had a couple of drinks in the room and watched Nemo (it was on TV)! All in all, we had a great first day, but were very disappointed in the BB. Previously our experiences have been good but I don't think we'll be back. With the food being overpriced and the cruddy service it's not worth the ambiance.

Thanks! I love Disneyland at twilight; it's just so magical. We were determined not to let our bad experience ruin our night, especially as we only had the one night to enjoy with Jaime.

That's so funny!! You could have totally seen us! I know for sure I would have remembered seeing your adorable sons but that doesn't mean you didn't see us. How cool! Maybe you are in the background of some of our pictures (and vice-a-versa).

So, I'm breaking the TR for just a moment to share some pictures of our anniversary weekend with you all! We went to South Lake Tahoe and it actually snowed on our anniversary! What makes it even more special (and funny) is that it rained on our wedding day last year. So I guess from now on it's going to rain/snow on October 3rd in northern Cali.

There was an Oktoberfest fair going on so we stopped in to see what it was all about.

Where I gave Jason a photo book of our first year of marriage together (the first anniversary is supposed to be paper)

And he gave me this very pretty necklace!

We headed over to our favorite bar in South Lake, Fire and Ice, and guess what it was doing outside?

SNOWING!!!!

We stopped for lunch at Squaw to have a bite to eat and watch some football. It started snowing while we were there and was still snowing when we left around 3pm.

All in all, we had a great one year anniversary and the snow made us want ski season to get here all that much quicker!
