I was reading about DCL again and came across this

In the Cadillac lounge , you will find fine wines, cigars and liqueurs, along with live piano entertainment nightly."

Does this mean that there is cigar smoking allowed inside of the Cadillac Lounge? This is the only option I'm being told that I have as a local for my vow renewal and I am *majorly* allergic to cigar (and cigarette) smoke. So is one of my guests, in fact she's even worse than I am!

Please tell me that they sell these here but you have to go on deck to smoke them. I'm just not going to be able to handle it if the room smells.

just returned from The Magic and there was at least
one gentleman smoking his cigar on deck, during the
deck party. I got ill. I saw a sign by the kid's pool no
smoking and he was sitting there, smoking his cigars
and watching his children swim. Very annoying.
I know, I know, you must go somewhere, but why
must you smoke near crowds of people with children.

If there was a no smoking sign then he shouldn't have been smoking. I would have had a CM on his butt *so* fast!

I can manage my allergy if it's an outside area, but if I'm in a room with no escape, forget it. I've got a year before we sail and I'll take that issue all the way up the food chain.

I have asthma and am allergic to smoke, and was not at all bothered by it in the lounges. The ventialtion system is very good. During the days when you gather there for shore excursions or Q&A with the crew, you'd never even know it was a lounge with smoking allowed. It's very clean, and you do'nt smell it at all.

I found the cigar smoke to be bothersome at the ESPN Lounge. I was getting a cold and I just couldnt handle that with the smoke on top. We ended up leaving and go to the near empty Promenade Lounge.
Hope the Cadillac Lounge isnt too bad for you.

On our cruise there was cigar smoking in the ESPN Skybox. It would trail down the stairs and it was really strong! That was the ONLY time on the ship that I was bothered by it.

Most of the smokers were pretty curteous on the ship (at least on our sailing). There were designated areas for them to smoke I believe.

i forgot about that....
i only walked into ESPN once....the smoke was horrible.....we walked in and right out again....
but that was the only place on the ship i experienced that...

as an obnoxious aside, in general i've found cigar smokers to be the most difficult of all smokers (in terms of considering how their stench is affecting those around them).....

but then again, those of you living in america are lucky.....try telling a european smoker sitting in a no-smoking section to put out his cigarette/cigar.....a stone cold stare is what you'll get if you're lucky.....a tirade of epithets that would do a teenager proud is the more likely response.......
