CICIS PIZZA Restaurant

Our coworkers have a running joke that when we eat at a bad restaurant, we immediately compare it to Cici's. For example 'wow, that was horrible moo shu pork, this place is the Cici's Pizza of Chinese food'.

If you want cheap, it's the place to be, but you get what you pay for.

We ate at the brand new one (it was last summer) on 192 and it was good. I wouldn't say it was the best pizza ever but it was not the worst either. My kids thought it was the best place on earth. It was a filling cheap meal and the kids were happy, what more can you ask for?

We do mystery shopping, and had the misfortune of shopping the Cici's on 192, just east of Celebration. It was AWFUL - I wouldn't recommend this one to anybody. The clientele was kind of sketchy, and there were lots of kids not supervised running around & acting gross with the food. Extremely poor service, as well.

When you mystery shop, there are certain things that you look for, and this location had NONE of them. We rushed to get out of there; it was quite bad. In contrast, our Cici's in Charlotte (where we moved from) had decent service and was very clean. The pizza was never great, but, hey, the price couldn't be beaten! I think it's a pity that Cici's is so inconsistent.

Cheers!

Well, you have saved me from regret now. The kids had seen a commercial for this last time we were in the Orlando area and wanted to try it, PLUS we had a coupon! Can't beat that right?:lmao: At any rate, we went right at dinner time--in March. The line was out the door. WAY out the door. DH and I looked at each other, glanced back at our hungry, tired children and turned the car around and headed for Uno's.:hippie: We never made it back to try it out. Sounds like we are better off waiting for our next trip when we will be staying at Vistana.

My boyfriend is very particular about the food he eats, and we both enjoyed it when we were there in May. I don't know which location we were at, but it was clean and the food was good. We did eat at about 2:00 pm, so I imagine it was a bit quieter than it would be at Noon. I liked the varieties of pizza, and even had some pasta and salad that I enjoyed. It's certainly not gourmet, but for a quick lunch it was great.

Remember - all locations are different. The location on Palm Parkway north of 535 seems very well run. If you are going to try CiCis, try this one instead of the one on 192.

We ate at this location twice during our trip this past February - once for a late lunch (2:00 pm) and the other time for late dinner (8:00 pm). Both times the restaurant was filled to about 1/2 capacity even though we were eating at off hours. I'm surprised so many have mentioned it to be clean and/or well run as we found this location to be neither. The price is what attracted us and even brought us back a second time. By the way, this location will take the coupons you can find in many of the tourist-y coupon books even though their address is not printed on the coupon! For our 2 adults, 4 kids, and 1 baby to eat (1 drinking Coke & water for the rest), it came to under $25 each visit! Anyway, service was fair... but they do not take credit/debit cards which seemed odd to me! DH had to run out to find an ATM while the kids and I waited for him to return with cash. As far as cleanliness, I found just the opposite. The women's bathroom was especially filthy that first time we were there... I won't go into detail, but it was really BAD! In fact, it was so disgusting that I told the kids to wipe up with napkins and wait to wash up until we got back to the hotel if they could. Also in the bathroom, there was no baby changing station which seemed odd to me considering it's a family restaurant. I had to run my baby out to the van to change her diaper which definitely was an inconvenience. At our table (on both visits), the parmesan and pepper shakers were smeared with grease/sauce... and it seemed the high chairs hadn't been cleaned in some time. I agree with those that have said that you get what you pay for. Our experiences certainly weren't stellar but we vacation for 2 weeks at a time and with a large family, we sometimes seek out bargain restaurants like this so that we can afford to keep coming back. ;)

Inconsistent would be my description too.
Ours eliminated the salad bar and went to the prepackaged junk drowned with dressing. We stopped eating at our local location and drove to the next closest one instead. Ours has gone back to the salad bar, so it is not too bad. With the Entertainment coupon, the 3 off us can eat for under 10.00. We never buy soda at a restaurant, only water.

It hurts me to the bone to hear such bad things being said about CiCi's:sad1:

My family LOVES CiCi's.

We had one in our home town but we moved away and haven't been to one in two years.

I am so excited that there is a bunch in Orlando. We are actually taking a bus from DTD to Sea World to grab a Trolley to get to the one outside of WDW.

I agree that the pizza is equal to Little Ceaser's. I cannot vouch for the shape of the ones in Orlando but the one we had in Wilmington, NC was clean and cheery. Way cheap.

WOOHOO CiCi's:cheer2:

We love the CiCi's pizza at home. Good food, good value, good people. Love the salad bar. They will make any type of pizza you want. Taco and Buffalo Wing Pizza'a are spicy and tasty. The pizza is nothing like Uno's, Giordano's or Lou Malnati's - totally different experience and food from any of those places.

I have never tried CiCi's near Disney, and after reading some of the posts above, I don't know if we will!

This is a perfect comparison. Not the ultimate pizza, but certainly edible. They also have some pasta dishes... I don't think any of us tried them (except for the baby). DH enjoyed the salad bar and the rest of us thought that the breadsticks, cinnamon rolls, and chocolate brownie desserts were pretty good.

Giordano's - the ultimate pizza!!! If you are looking for wonderful pizza in the Orlando area, definitely try Giordano's! We eat from there at least once or twice each trip - usually taking it back to our hotel after a long day in the parks. They will provide paper plates, plastic forks, & napkins at no charge - just for those of us that like to do this. ;) There is definitely no comparison food-wise or price-wise to CiCi's. My tip for Giordano's pizza though... if you are calling ahead for carry out, be sure and call at least 45 minutes ahead as it takes a loooooong time for these pizzas to make it thru the oven, especially when they are busy (which is nearly always)! Coupons can also usually be found in the tourist-y coupon books for $2.00 off or for a free appetizer.
