Cicadas have arrived in Western MD!!!!

they are all over the foundation of my house this morning..found some in the trees also..ewwww.....ran over a bunch more with the lawn mower..figure everyone I can do away with or trap in a jar..will be that many hundred less in the trees and less damage to our plants..anyone else finding them by the bunches this morning?

Oh, man.....I don't intend to leave my apartment until they are gone!

I still have nightmare memories from the last infestation....cicadas flying into my head, cicadas all over the ground, classmates pulling off cicada wings. GROSS.

I remember them envading when I was little staying at my Grandma's house.

Glad they don't come to the Northwest! (not that we don't have our share of creeping things here... )

You Marylanders are getting them first! I've got another wooded bike ride tomorrow morning, I'm scared! I have to go, it's for charity!

I don't remember these things. I wonder if they skipped PA last time around. I would of been 22, so I think something like that would of made an impression!

I showed the photo of them to my kids. My son, who is 14, had a reaction that I really wasn't expecting! "Dude!! I can run them over with my bike and hear them crunch!" I think this time around, it is definitely going to make an impression on me!!! YUCK!
