I just read about Disney not having in turkey legs any more at Animal Kingdom but I also saw this "earlier this year Disney discontinued churros at the park"

Is this really true? I hope its just at Animal Kingdom.

From the way the Orlando Weekly phrased it, it sounds like it only applies to Animal Kingdom:
The turkey legs aren’t the only classic snack now missing from the menu at Animal Kingdom; earlier this year Disney discontinued churros at the park.

I'm not familiar with the Theme Park Tourist website, but they had almost the same wording and the next sentence indicated that both items are still available in the other parks.
Sadly, this is the second removal of an iconic snack from this park, as churros were discontinued earlier this month as well. However, the good news here is that both of these yummy items are all still available at Epcot, the Magic Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Oh thank goodness. I was freaking out a little bit. My son lives on those when we are down there.

Thanks!!!

Goodness it seems like they are getting rid of quite a few snacks.

I got one last Thursday at a cart in MK - and it was YUM-O!!

I've only ever heard of churros in the last 10 years or so (been going to Disney for over 30), so how are they "iconic"??

I reserve that term for Mickey Bars and the like.

It's a funny perspective seeing churros thought of as a hard to find food. I

Sorry for the necropost, but have they really discontinued churros at Animal Kingdom!? I just heard about this today, and I checked the Disney website, and they are still on the menu for Dino Bite Snacks in AK (which is where we got them on our last trip). Can anyone there recently confirm they're no longer being sold?

I grew up going to DLR far more often than WDW, so churros are a big part of the Disney experience for our family. It's always been harder to find them at WDW than DLR :(

My parents used to grab me one when I was too small for space mountain while my older siblings went on, and that was in the mid 80s. So I'd call them more iconic for DL like some of the other posters but they have been at MK for a loooong time.

The churros at Pecos Bills were horrible.
They are charging $4.99 plus tax for dried out, old, stale, dehydrated, completely disappointing churro pieces, with a lame chocolate "sauce".

It's downright terrible. If this is what they serve people, it should get discontinued.

They seem a bit more subdued in WDW but they are on every corner in DL. I think of WDW as more of Popcorn and Mickey Pretzels on every corner.
I had the churros at Peco's Bills last time I was there and thought they were decent (though they were free with the free dining plan - paying $4.99 I might have felt differently). The best churro I've ever had was at Chase Field in AZ hot, crunching on the outside and soft on the inside. Nothing has compared since.
