Church.... anyone going????

We will be at Disney in November. We are staying at POP November 17-23. We were wondering if anyone else would be there at that time and if you either wanted to share a cab or if you had a rental car while there if we could get a ride with you.

The church I forgot to mention is Our Lady of the Universe just outside of Disney property.

I'm not going, but in case you don't find a ride, I'll let you know what I did. I took the bus to Downtown Disney and then took a cab from there. I think it was around 12-13 each way. I gave $15 with tip. Both drivers were really friendly and nice, one even got out and opened the door for me as I was leaving! I went into the gift shop and bought some nice gifts in there as well. It's a beautiful spot.

Yes, we are going to church - but we'll be there in October, and we're going to the Presbyterian Church in Celebration.

OK, not real sure how helpful this is. When I was a kid (lets say 25 years ago), we used to go to service at the Polynesian. We went to a Catholic service though I think they had a general service as well. It may be worth checking to see if that's something that's still offered

No...that's not offered any longer. The only time you can go to a catholic Mass on Disney property is at Christmas....at the Contemporary (maybe at Easter, too???).

Our Lady of the Universe Shrine is really nice. You won't regret making the trip!

We are still looking to see if anyone else will be at Disney at the same time we are and going to Our Lady of the Universe on Sunday November 22. We don't mind paying for the cab for just the two of us but we figured if someone else was going to be there and also going, why not save a little bit by splitting the cost of the cab. We are staying at POP if that helps.

Thanks CptJack... We hope so to. I know lots of people go... The church is standing room only everytime we have been there. We've also run into people that we have seen either at our hotel or at the parks...

Either way we will still be there.....
