Chuck and Lynn Go to Mousefest! New 5/4!

nd Mike from the Be our Guest Podcast. (He’s great. You should listen.) We stood for awhile and tried to scan the crowd for Christine/2xcited2sleep, but since I had no idea what she looked like, it was more like, “hmmm do you think that’s her,” and “No, I pictured her with darker hair.” .

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: I hope I lived up to expectations! I was a mega wimp that afternoon and didn't leave Pop due to the monsoon that was occuring. You are being kind calling it "rain"!

How cool that you got to see a monorail towing. That is an unusual experience!

I'm going to be bold. Next year there is not going to be so much rain. Nor will it be so cold! And we will spend more time together. And I can't wait! :goodvibes

Wow, that is crazy that you saw the monorail tow! Very cool.

The monorail tow is very cool. I love it when you see something unexpected like that, makes you feel special. Or at least it I feel that way. :rotfl:

OMG! That monorail in tow video is sooo cool!! Your too funny about knowing your speaking to disney minded people! Your so right! There were 1 or 2 time this past trip that I said something in response to something someone standing near me said that provoked a blank stare. Then I learned to bite my tongue!

You exceeded expectations!:thumbsup2 I am already looking forward to next year, although I am torn. I really want to go on my birthday and get that gift card!!!

You should have seen Chuck running down the street trying to get that video!:rotfl2:

It felt it was just for me, you know. Especially when other poeple are walking by and not even paying attention. My own bit of pixie dust!

The monorail tow is very cool!

That poor, poor mother -- I hope she learned quickly. :sad2:

I hope so, too. Her children didn't look too pleased, especially in the rain!

I have that same problem. If I am standing there and they are all pumped up to ride TSM, but are getting on a MK bus, do I pipe up and tell them and look like a complete geek or keep my mouth shut and let them wander around. there is a good example of me butting in to other people's conversations in the next installment.....

I think it's funny that we all think a "tow" is cool! :rotfl: You know that if it were our car we wouldn't be so excited! ;) I guess I never thought of the monorails getting stuck, but I suppose they would.

Everything is more fun at WDW! Even a tow!!

Day Two Part Four

Rested and refreshed, we were off to DHS to check out the Osborne Lights. A short walk to the bus stop and we waited. And we waited. And we waited. A sweet little family came and sat down. They were debating whether they would spend their evening at MK or DownTown Disney. Now I’m thinking to myself, “Mk is closing in an hour for MVMCP. Should I say something? They are going to look at me like I am crazy!” But it is my duty as a Disney geek to impart my wisdom to others, right? So I told them and you know what? They were so happy that I had saved them some disappointment. See, sometimes it pays to listen in on people’s conversations. Most of the time it just gets me dirty looks.

DHS is beautiful at night, especially at night.

We had two goals for that night, use our FPs for a third ride on TSM and see the Osborne Lights. Chuck was anxious to get lots of shots! We took our time walking down the street and let Chuck enjoy himself.

Yep, Chuck beat me again! He has no sympathy for the weak!

Continued in the next post.

The Osborne lights are simply amazing! It wasn’t very crowded so we took our time. I think a new dancing song started every few minutes so we stayed for a few different shows. I’ve got to confess that Pachebel’s Canon made me very weepy.

All that sweet sad music was getting to me. I told Chuck I couldn’t make it through the Cannon again. I guess I was missing the kids a little. I knew they would love the lights.

We headed over to the big hat to look at pins. I hadn’t done near enough pin shopping! Chuck bought me this and I thought it commemorated the evening perfectly.

We decided to head over to AKL and see their tree. It’s one of our favorite resorts and I was anxious to see it all done up for the holidays. It’s like a breath of relaxation just to walk through the doors.

The pictures don’t do it justice. The tree was amazing. We sat in the lobby and just looked at it for awhile.

We didn’t forget about you, LL.

We lost our Christmas tree topper to our new kitten last year so we headed to Downtown Disney to check out the Christmas Shop. I even like the bus stops at AKL. They are covered with benches and look as if they are carved out of the hillside. On the bus, driver say my birthday button and made me stand up so everyone could tell me Happy Birthday. My face was as red as my shirt!

We didn’t find a thing at the Christmas store and were lucky to escape with our lives. We popped into McDonald’s and had McRibs. (Hey, they don’t have those in SC!) We walked over to the Raglan Road shop (Chuck is always looking for ways to show off his Irish heritage), but they didn’t have anything interesting. We did take this shot since it would probably be our last time to see it.

We even popped into the World of Disney store, but Chuck had filled his quota of getting stepped on by people, so we called it a night.

Great pictures once again, Chuck!! The lights look so amazing and your pin is cute. Seems like you were able to accomplish a lot that night!

Great update! I see a couple hidden Mickeys (or maybe not so hidden??) in those pictures of the lights! They are amazing. And how cool to commemorate it with that pin. :thumbsup2

So sweet of you to save that family a pointless trip to MK. I couldn't help but wonder why they hadn't checked the park hours though.

All of Chuck's pictures are gorgeous!!! Just beautiful!!! The pin is too cute!

AKL at Christmastime. Sigh. Too pretty. AKL at anytime is wonderful. ;)

Stunningly beautiful pictures! I'm not sure I've noticed the super tall palm trees on either side of the street at Hollywood Studios!

I liked the lights as well. I couldn't believe that I ran out of the resort and left the tripod behind....Oh, well experience is the best teacher (besides it just means we will have to do another Christmas Lights / Mouse Fest trip next year.
I did take a few shots without the tripod and experimented with trying to do a few panos.

Wonderful panoramic!! Just gorgeous. I was wondering if you used a tripod or not. I am really debating bringing my down. I want too but I'm worried about lugging it around. :confused3

Great updates Lynn!! Love the tow story, that was pretty cool!:thumbsup2 And you're right, things are much more cool in Disney than at home!!:rotfl: You guys really covered some ground that night, you were all over the place, that must have been some power nap!!:thumbsup2 The Osborne light pictures were beautiful, nice job!!! And Chuck, love the last one, especially that you posted, just amazing!!! :goodvibes

Great update! I love pictures of the lights, they are amazing! I would love to go some time for Christmas!

Wow! Super great photos of HS at night and so glad Chuck was on the scene to get the footage of the monorail tow. We are all confirmed Disney geeks that we love seeing that!

I laughed and laughed about you barely getting out of the Christmas Shop with your lives...

The Osborne Dancing Lights Pin is very cool - I never even saw that one while I was there.

The shop window pictures are terrific. I think those were some of the very best window displays of the holiday time.

You were totally right to keep that not so informed family from a huge disappointment. I know there are some people who go to the World and have difficult and disappointing experiences that lead to their having a not so great time. People just don't realize how much better a time can be had with just a little preparation.

Seeing the TSM pictures made me hear the happy music that plays during the ride and I wanted to run right out and do it again. It's great that it is totally fun even if your game skills aren't completely honed yet. I believe a trip devoted to practice would be extremely beneficial to your future happiness. :thumbsup2

I want to hear more about Lynn's car that she got for Jake's birthday!:drive: What did Jake get? :scratchin
