Chuck and Lynn Go to Mousefest! New 5/4!

Great pictures once again, Chuck!! The lights look so amazing and your pin is cute. Seems like you were able to accomplish a lot that night!

It was kind of fun just to wander around and do whatever struck us!

Chucks pictures of the Osborone lights are some the best ones that I've seen! Thanks for sharing:cool1:

Thanks!!

Great update! I see a couple hidden Mickeys (or maybe not so hidden??) in those pictures of the lights! They are amazing. And how cool to commemorate it with that pin. :thumbsup2

I was excited to see that pin! If I remember correctly, it was an annual passholder pin. The big hat is always a great place to get them!

So sweet of you to save that family a pointless trip to MK. I couldn't help but wonder why they hadn't checked the park hours though.

All of Chuck's pictures are gorgeous!!! Just beautiful!!! The pin is too cute!

AKL at Christmastime. Sigh. Too pretty. AKL at anytime is wonderful. ;)

I thought you'd appreciate the AKL pictures. It was wonderful to be able to visit if we couldn't stay there.

Stunningly beautiful pictures! I'm not sure I've noticed the super tall palm trees on either side of the street at Hollywood Studios!

I think it's worth a trip over just to walk around DHS at night. During our summer trips we like to walk in the streets of America at night. It's alway empty.....and has Chuck's favorite restroom.

Great updates Lynn!! Love the tow story, that was pretty cool!:thumbsup2 And you're right, things are much more cool in Disney than at home!!:rotfl: You guys really covered some ground that night, you were all over the place, that must have been some power nap!!:thumbsup2 The Osborne light pictures were beautiful, nice job!!! And Chuck, love the last one, especially that you posted, just amazing!!! :goodvibes

It was a fun night! I think the monorail tow was my favorite thing, with going out to AKL a close second.

Great update! I love pictures of the lights, they are amazing! I would love to go some time for Christmas!

Everyone should try to go at least once during Christmastime. It really gets you into the spirit!

Wow! Super great photos of HS at night and so glad Chuck was on the scene to get the footage of the monorail tow. We are all confirmed Disney geeks that we love seeing that!

I laughed and laughed about you barely getting out of the Christmas Shop with your lives...

The Osborne Dancing Lights Pin is very cool - I never even saw that one while I was there.

The shop window pictures are terrific. I think those were some of the very best window displays of the holiday time.

You were totally right to keep that not so informed family from a huge disappointment. I know there are some people who go to the World and have difficult and disappointing experiences that lead to their having a not so great time. People just don't realize how much better a time can be had with just a little preparation.

Seeing the TSM pictures made me hear the happy music that plays during the ride and I wanted to run right out and do it again. It's great that it is totally fun even if your game skills aren't completely honed yet. I believe a trip devoted to practice would be extremely beneficial to your future happiness. :thumbsup2

I want to hear more about Lynn's car that she got for Jake's birthday!:drive: What did Jake get? :scratchin

Chuck promises to post a picture of the new car soon. I can't wait to break it in with a WDW trip and trick it out with Disney stuff!!

Jake got a Bamboo fun drawing tablet for his laptop. I'm looking forward to all the stuff he comes up with using that!! He's already done some super comics.

Great update and great pictures of the Osborne lights!!!! we went to see the lights the last night they were on, 1/4. Their sooo beautiful and stunning! I really want to go back and see them again!

Hey Lynn and Chuck!!! Great pictures...I really want to learn how to take pictures like that! The trip sounds like fun but I am sorry you weren't feeling well Lynn. Hope y'all are doing well!

I'm not entirely sure I want to hear it but it just seems like there has to be a story here... :rolleyes1:

Can't wait to hear about the car!!

Hey! We are doing good, but busy as always. Thanks for reading!

Can't wait to hear about the car!!

I'll have to let Chuck explain his fasicantion with that bathroom...

Hopefully we will have car pictures soon! I love this car!!:drive:

Day Three Part One

Friday was another cold day! The weather channel said the high would be 55 with 15MPH winds! BRRR…well, at least brrrr for Florida. So, it was the perfect day to test our theory that AK is the hottest place in WDW, no matter what.

The Christmas tree at the entrance is so unique!

I got this one for Em. She is a Chip and Dale freak!

We made it for rope drop and got to enjoy the fun little show.

After stopping for FPs for the Safari, we walked right on.

It was freezing. I had on a big sweatshirt with a hood, but my ears were killing me! It was funny, though. We had two other Mousefesters in front of us in the truck and all I could hear was camera shutters!! :rotfl2:

Was that enough safari for ya?!

I was a popsicle by the end with the wind blowing into that truck. I did want to see the gorillas, though. There were only a few out. (Smart animals.)

With that out of the way, it was time for our first official Mousefest meet!

Great safari pics! You wonder what those animals think of those cold temps, unless they get used to them too. Who knows. :confused3

I'm enjoying reading your report, you are quite funny! Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well, but it seems that you still had a very good time. Loved your pics of the Safari.:thumbsup2

Oh, how I love Animal Kingdom! I would love to see all the Christmas decorations and the Christmas parade one day! Your safari photos are fabulous! The animals seemed to like the colder temps!

Great safari pictures! It really was cold!! YIKES!!! I guess you were right about not needing the shorts! Can't wait for the next installment!

Great animal pictures! Sorry it was so cold! Brrr!!!

You really take your chances with weather when you go in December or January! It's much like here in SC. It was 18 degress Thursday morning and today it is 65! We are sitting on our porch in short sleeves soaking up the sun!

I wonder about that too. Maybe they can become acclimated to the colder weather....:confused3

Welcome! Chuck is much funnier than I am, but he just has not had the time to work on this trip report with me. Almost all the pictures are his,
though!

I'll bet you'll make it for Christmas one year! You didn't think you'd make it to AKL and now that is happening, so who knows? Join us for Mousefest in 2009?!?

Great safari pictures! It really was cold!! YIKES!!! I guess you were right about not needing the shorts! Can't wait for the next installment!

I was glad for my big woolly sweatshirt that day! It was very strange to be cold in AK.

Great pictures from the Safari! I really like the ones of the Cheetah's...I have seen them twice but they are usually so far away I can never get a good picture of them.

Looking forward to reading about Mousefest meet.

Great Osbourne lights photos and you were lucky it wasn't too crowded it was wall to wall people when I went!

Again great photos on the Safari and it's funny to think of Florida as cold :rotfl:

It was a cold week that week! I can only imagine being on the safari in the winds though. You got some great animal pictures, much better than mine!!! Never saw that Chip and Dale snow globe before, very cute!! I'm sure Em loved it!!:goodvibes

Great safari pictures!! It certainly WAS cold out! :cold:

I've never been that bundled up at WW before. And I will get more bundled up before this day is over.

The cheetahs always kind of scare me. Once on the safari, one got up and kind of ran toward the vehicle. Now I know there is a giant ditch between us and them, but I was still scared!:scared1:

I know! I was so tired of the cold here and went right into the cold down there!:lmao:

She did, but she would have liked it better if she was there in person!

Fantastic trip report! Day 3 part 2??popcorn::

Thanks and Welcome!! I love Roz, BTW. Have you been to the Laugh Floor? I use that line, "I'm watching. Always watching." On the kids all the time!:lmao:

Hopefully, I'll get un update done soon. The weather has been so good that we have been outside as much as possible, tring to soak in the sun!
