Chuck and Lynn Go to Mousefest! New 5/4!

3…..2……1…..It’s time for another trip to WDW! I thought I’d make this one a photo countdown. Chuck has taken so beautiful pictures over the years and here is my chance to show them off! Oh, and give a nice thank you to Chuck for taking me to WDW.

Gosh, I never know how to start these things!! We are Chuck and Lynn, married 17 years and this will be our 17th trip to WDW!! I love it when things work out. We have two lovely children, Jake 14, and Em 12. But this trip it’s just Chuck and I!!! We planned a big romantic trip last December for my 40th birthday, but due to circumstances beyond our control, we ended up taking Jake and Em with us. But hope never dies! We are trying again this year. And as luck would have it, we are going during a very special time, Mousefest. It’s a gathering of WDW fans from all over, to get together and have some fun. There are some great meets this year, and we might even be hosting a meet of our own, unofficially of course.

My birthday is on Dec.6, but I am gonna celebrate while we are there, although Chuck says he'll tell everyone I'm a birthday fibber. We'll see.

There are some great meets this year, and we might even be hosting a meet of our own, unofficially of course.

The birthday fibber thing totally cracks me up. I'm with you, Lynn! I'll be celebrating my Disney birthday too even though technically my actual birthday is before I get there. Last year during the MVMCP parade, Santa looked right over at me and my birthday button and said, "Happy Birthday, Princess!" It was one of the high points of the trip for me - I was as excited as if I had just turned 6. My DB was horrified that I had mislead Santa. I finally convinced him that because Santa knows everything, he knew it was my special magical Disney birthday that I was celebrating and that it was ok. So we're Santa-certified!

And I'm excited for you. A little birdy told me you are on your way to the Beach Club this summer. That is so wonderful!! We've cahnged our dates to try to get two trips from one AP. We are going June 13 through June 24. Will we still overlap?

I love that story! We are having a lovely dinner at the castle and that is going to be my birthday dinner. I am so looking forward to this trip!! If we really like CBR, we might change our summer plans!!

Our reservations are in place...ADR's have been made and we will be getting our Mouse Fest packet in a couple of weeks......I wonder if I should go ahead and start packing?

Okay, we don't have alot of ADRs, because we are going to be playing it by ear and seeing where the day takes us. But we do have two and I am very excited about both! (Vague, enough for you?)

My plan as of right now is to stay until about 2:00 or 3:00 -- and then be dragged kicking and screaming away from whatever park we are at -- you know, like a toddler that throws themselves down on the ground and refuses to move.

Maybe we will see you! We usually get there about 9 AM or so (unless Chuck wants to stop at the outlet). If we ca get in our room, which 8 out of 10 times we can't, we head to a park.

About the kicking and screaming, I usually just pout. Not nearly as affective, although "I'm not leaving until we have reservations for another trip" has worked really well.

A word or two about the countdown. I orginally made it as a little gift to email to Chuck every day (somedays we don't see each other awake) I hope you don't mind me sharing it with you guys. I tried to pick the things the two of us are looking forward to the most. Maybe you will agree.
