Christmastime must do's?

So on the day we head home from a quick 2 night visit to Disney, I'm planning on stopping at Seaworld just to Pop in and see a little while it is decorated. I imagine we will get there at 9 or 10am and be leaving at around 2pm (short I know!).

That said, what would be your "must do" things? We have annuals for Seaworld but haven't seen it at holiday time.

I'm a figure skater, so I don't need to watch the skating show if that makes a difference in your suggestions. I see enough skating as is.

It will be 12/22.

All the Christmas shows start later in the day, so other than the decorations I am not sure there will be any must-do type items other than you would see any other time of the year. The only possible exception would be Polar Express.

I agree with FLOIR, the best Christmas features at SeaWorld occur in the latter part of the day.

If the early portion of the day is all you have, then definitely do the Polar Express.

Afterward, you can visit the North Pole (they have a HUGE tree there, just like in the movie):

... and then you can meet Santa:

You can also visit the Christmas Marketplace and doing some shopping or have a holiday-themed drink:

One of our favourite SeaWorld Christmas souvenirs: have your photo taken inside a snow globe:

If your timing is right, you might also catch a Christmas themed street performance, like this one:

And while the best of the holiday decor comes to light (pardon the pun) after dark, there are plenty of lovely decorations throughout the park that are very festive even in the daytime:

Gina, those look awesome!! I will definitely try to get a picture in the snowglobe. That will be a must. I will also check out the North Pole. Thanks for the tips, and I LOVE the pictures!

The Christmas pathway also known as Bayside Pathway where the Christmas marketplace is does not open until 5pm. Would be great if you could stay a bit longer because the Christmas shows are so amazing and actually seeing the park light up for Christmas is just amazing. If you cant, totally recommend Polar Express. The giant snowglobe to get your picture in is located in front of the Waterfront shops just so you have an idea where to go.

I wish I could! Probably not though, I need to pick up my pups from boarding by 530 unless I can get a favor from a friend to do it for me. Generally I'd just do another half day at Disney, but DH doesn't have an annual so I don't want to waste his ticket there, which is why we are doing seaworld instead where we both have Aps.

what is the POLAR EXPRESS comprised of please?

It's a motion simulator ride set to scenes from the movie. If you don't like simulators, then you can do just the movie version which is the same as the ride only without the ride part. Its about 5 minutes long. After the ride or non ride movie, you exit into the north pole where you can see Beluga whales, walrus, seals and get a photo op with Santa.

Thanks guys! I extended and switched things up so I will do seaworld 730pm to close (: :cool1:
