Just back from the Christmas Wonder, and I can't imagine a more gorgeous place to spend the holiday than Castaway Cay! The weather was sunny and near 80 degrees, which was so much better than cold and snow. Some highlights:
-There was mulled wine available for purchase (first day only...sure wish it was all cruise long), and egg nog was handed out, along with milk and cookies.
-Mrs. Claus told stories and there were also carolers in the atrium and Christmas music in the halls.
-On Christmas morning, Santa handed out gifts (wrapped elf hats) to all the kids in the atrium.
-There was a wonderful Christmas menu that was similar to the Thanksiving one. The two best items were the lobster and the yule log (we didn't order one, but thankfully our server brought one anyway).
-There were holiday stateroom gifts (a lovely lithograph and a box of DCL chocolates) for all the cruisers.
All in all, I'm glad that Tony finally convinced me to sail on Christmas! The only hard part was disembarking on the morning after, but that's always true, even when it's not a holiday.
