I've searched the forums and haven't found the info I need, which may mean it is blasphemy on these forums, but ...
We are flying to Orlando then driving to Jacksonville the weekend before Christmas. I was thinking of stopping for a couple of hours to enjoy some of the Disney Christmas magic without entering the parks (we're on a tiny budget). Anyone have any advice or suggestions? Is this worth doing? Am I crazy?
I was thinking maybe GF for the gingerbread house and maybe the Disney shopping area (the one where La Nouba is?) might have some nice Christmas flavor, but could we get into these places without a ticket? Would it be a waste of time on a Saturday? I loved the Animal Kingdom Lodge when we stayed there -- is that worth visiting briefly at the Holidays?
Would it be insane to try to get lunch somewhere? Where would you recommend?
All insight appreciated,
Catt
