Christmas / Winter Break 2014

Our school just released their calendar and I was expecting the kids going to school until Tuesday, December 23rd. I was surprised to see that their last day of classes are Friday, December 19th.

Just curious when other schools are starting their Christmas break.

BTW, our school is in Western New York.

I'm in north central Indiana, and the students last day before Christmas is Thursday Dec 18! I'm a teacher and we have a work day that Friday. We'll have the next two full weeks off, and teachers go back the Monday after New Year's for staff development, kids come back Tuesday. Personally, I think 12 school days out for Christmas is too long. Especially this past winter when we had a blizzard and ended up missing the whole first week back!!

WDW will be getting very busy right about the time your vacation starts, and remain that way for the rest of the year. This is because everyone's break is pretty much at the same time, give or take a few days.

Still waiting for our local school system here in Mississippi to release ours. Hoping to maybe get back to Fort Wilderness in November or December but awaiting holiday schedules to see when.
