I keep reading about ear muffs and being cold and packing heavy clothes etc.I am sitting in Montreal .The streets are full of ice there was freezing rain and sleet on and off all day yesterday and when I read the 10 day weather forecast for Orlando it shows a high of 72-74 and a low of 52-54 I`m leaving on the 22nd and even with the low I`ll think I died and went to heaven. Is this forecast realistic or is there really a chance of ear muff weather?

Florida weather can be unpredictable, so there is a slight chance. However, when I went at Christmas before, days were warm - short sleeve and almost hot warm. Nights will probably be chilly - especially with the wind. Take jackets for the night time activities.

We have gone for Christmas within recent years and the weather was bone-chilling. We weren't prepared (expecting the 50s) so Disney made quite a bit of money with us scrambling for earmuffs, gloves and hot chocolate.

Keep an eye on the weather if you're going down Christmas week. We've occasionally heard that it's projected that arctic air will be blowing down this way and may make its way into Florida. I doubt the kind of weather you're seeing in Canada but unFlorida-like nonetheless.

My DH just called to say it's 38 degrees in Orlando this morning. I had already checked the internet weather since we're heading that way Saturday. Of course, they're predicting 12 degrees and snow here for Sunday night, so 38 sounds pretty good in comparison.

We travel to Disney alot in December. It is usually shorts and a sweatshirt for evenings. Bring jeans or sweat pants for night which is after 4:00 as this is when the sun goes down. It is good to bring at least one "chilly day" outfit. We carry sweatpants in a backpack if we are not going back to hotel to change before 4:00. But... This is a great time to go weather wise. Comfortable days and cool nights.
