My BFF and her DH are taking their 4 year old triplet DSs to WDW for the first time during Christmas week. I've told her she is nuts, but her DH's parents are taking them (and DSinlaw's family)... and that is the only time they can go.

They already have hotel (CR) and a few meals booked, but that is all.

We've never been during Christmas week; we avoid it like the plague. I don't really know what advice to give her other than get there at rope drop if you can, and get FPs for whatever rides you most want to do.

My BFF is really stressed about the trip, and she really wants the boys to have a good time on their first trip. (I want them to, too, I want them to go with us in a couple of years!)

Does anyone have any good tips for that week, particularly with young children?

We went during the holidays....

1. Measure the kids beforehand. Any ride one or more can't or won't do means child swap for parents and other kid/s. aka riding twice.

2. USE FP, EVEN FOR ABOVE! The lines are shorter.

3. Get there before RD, and plan to leave after an early dinner. The kids need sleep and mom and dad need a break.

4. Stroller and snacks. Lots.

5. If there's something the parents want to do that the kids can't, take turns and [maybe] use the kids FPs for multiple quick rides.

Have fun!!!

For sure, be there well before rope drop and have a plan. Depending on the age of the kids, hit most populars ride first. If kids are under 7, have a stroller seat for every child. Crowds are huge and loosing a child is a very real and scary possibility. Be sure you have contact/ID info on every child, and when moving in huge crowds, make everyone ride. Make some more ADRs. CS lines will be long, and TS impossible to get. Don't promise the kids any thing. Instead go with the plan that you will do as much as possible as long as it is still fun! We were there last year during New Years week, and while much better than Christmas, it was still crazy busy. We never got on TSM the whole week. Not a big deal, but was glad we had not promised.

Tell her to go with the attitude that it will be fun and fine and it will be!!!
